Person A of your OTP is an immortal spirit/deity that watches over their world and protects it through servants that are granted eternal youth in exchange for upkeeping order in the world. Person B is one of those servants, who's been serving A loyally for thousands of years without even meeting them face-to-face. Eventually they meet up (whether in times of peace or war, you decide), slowly building a strong bond as more than just "lord and knight", but as incredibly close friends (or even something more).
