[Isaiah's POV]

It's been a full week with gas station food and potty stops. Nobody wanted to rest at a motel or anything.. Just they kept driving... Of course, mom and dad took turns everyday, but Jennifer and Daniel were straight up awake all day and night.

We got to stop at Alabama. That was where exactly my mother was spawned into the mortal world. That's all I knew about mother. She was still a stranger, but she's somewhere placed  in my heart.

I talked to Brendon through my  mind... Things sounded good until she told me that mother just stopped talking after passing the sign "Welcome to Alabama".

"Do you know what's wrong with her?" I asked Brendon.

"Nope. Do you know anything weird about mother?"

"well, Mother was born in Alabama... Maybe she's remembering things."

"How do you know this?"

"Well sis, I know many things. I'm really smart here."

Our conversation has ended and I laid my eyes on the window. I was just thinking... nothing really important at all.

"Birmingham is nearby. Do you want to get out of the car to take a break?" Daniel asked. I smiled and replied to a yes.
Mom and dad, Daniel, and Jennifer all parked at a rest stop to relax.

Mother sat at the bench looking down at the dark soil. "Home is nearby." she said.

"Do you want to visit there?"  dad asked.

Mother nodding and repeated herself.

"Is mom okay?" Brendon started getting concerned about mother and her thoughts.

"Yes... She doesn't want to show how happy she is." I replied back. Mother was indeed happy, she just never knew how to express her feelings well.

I thought of being by mother's side so I drove with dad again.

Mother drover her way home crying.

"This is where I was raised. I'm home again." she said smiling more.

Mother ran to the door and knocked softly, but loud enough for people to hear.

"Who's here?" questioned the person on the other side of the door. The door opened and showed a old man.

"Papa?" she started crying.

"Hasuna? Is that really you?" he started crying. "Mary Lou! Look who's here!" The women named Mary Lou cried with the old  man.

"Ma, papa. These are my children and my boyfriend... Come out the car kids!" she said crying.

We all got out the car..

"This is James... He is the man who made me feel like I was meant for living... These are our children that we have... Emma and Isaiah.. They make me so happy... I feel so blessed." she cried.

Mother seemed so happy and that's what only matters to me. Happiness. I knew mother was born from a wrong family, but surely she was raised the correct way.

"We were planning doing out for dinner, but I could cook here. Does thanksgiving food sound good for you all?" she said smiling. Daniel and Jennifer followed us, but planed to eat out as we were with family.

"We can't just have four people outside our house... come inside! Feel like you're at home!" Mary Lou welcomed us inside the house.

"I'm surprised! Not even a year and these kids could walk and talk! Just like you Hasuna!" Mary Lou smiled.  "How did you guys meet?" I asked.

Mary Lou started to have a straight face almost wanting to cry.

"I remember everything..." she said.

[Mary Lou's POV]

"Conner and I were now a year of marriage. We finally thought of having a kid of our own.."

Mary Lou: Sweetie....

Conner: Yes my love?

Mary Lou: I've been thinking....

C: Thinking about what?

ML: I want to start a family..

C: Sweet mother of Jesus... I've been wanting one so bad...

ML: Then let's do it then... I've been thinking this through and I'm ready.

C: I'm ready too!

"A week and a half later..  I was pregnant. I was going to have a baby on the way. Conner and I were saving up money because we knew  day was going to happen. Every month, We both put a hundred dollars in a jar to make a new room for the baby... two months later  we had to go to the doctors.. Something wasn't right... I felt sick..."

Doctor: I'm sorry, but you had a miscarriage... We need to remove the child... I'm sorry.

"My eyes widen and I cried to sleep, I cried to Conner, I cried to everyone. Everyone knew and found out I lost a child and everyone looked at me different... Like I did something wrong."

"I was a lonesome night. I had to work late... I cam across from a old cardboard box.. I kept hearing noises.. I wasn't sure what was in it.. Maybe it was a kitten or a pup.... "

"I opened the box and there was this girl with red hair... My life changed forever after meeting her. She brought joy to Conner and I."

Dinner was made and I made sure there was enough chairs for everyone. "Conner.. grab some plates honey!" I shouted.

Everyone enjoyed the turkey I prepared. Isaiah was eating three plates already. James? I've never met the man, but I'm glad he's taking care of Hasuna and the kids. Emma? She's mysterious. She never spoke a word at all.

Hasuna told me they were moving up in New York. That's a really nice place... but I don't see that for little children.....

James slept in a room with Isaiah and Emma... Hasuna decided to sleep in the living room.
