::Kayla::

"Kayla! Kayla! Come here, I need you in my office A.S.A.P." Mrs. Grunding told me. "I have exciting news for you."

Mrs. Grunding is head of the adoption center.

"Yes, Mrs.Grunding," I answered dully. She always says this and next thing you know the family thinks I'm a stuck up brat, let's not forget a ungrateful stuck up brat.

"Perk up, sport! It's going to be better this time!" She smiled brightly at me. She must be really sure of herself, her dimples are showing.

"No offense, but you've said this every time," I doubted myself.

"Look, I have faith in you. Your going to do wonderful in this new home."

"Who are they?" I asked curiously.

"Kelly Rowland, just her."

"I love her, she's amazing!" I almost died when she said that.

"I know, that's why when she said she wanted to adopt a girl and boy, I suggested you," she smiled at me.

"Your the best Mrs.Grunding." I smiled at her bright.

"I think that's the brightest I've seen you smile in awhile, my god your glowing!"

"So, when do I leave?" I asked anxiously.

Mrs.Grunding chuckled, "Today actually," my eyes lit up brighter than five year old's on Christmas morning.

"Am I dismissed?" I asked, before I bolted to go pack.

"Yes, Kayla your dismissed." She grinned as she watched me bolt out the door to go pack.

It only took me a few minutes considering I didn't have very many belongings. Once I was done I looked around at my old empty bedroom. I looked at my mom's charm bracelet, I always wore on my wrist. It had a charm for every year of my mom's life, sad thing is she died at age 23. I seriously just hate cancer! My mom was a fantastic woman, she had a bright mind and was always positive even in the worst situations. My dad told me this in a letter. He's in the state pen for life, he's never getting out. He wouldn't tell me why, he just says when I'm older. I said a little prayer and blew my old room a kiss and walked down the stairs to meet my new mom. Something told me deep down inside she'll never be able to replace my old mom.

"Kayla is a well behaved child. She makes very good grades in school and has never been in a fight in her life." I heard Mrs.Grunder bragging on me to someone.

"I would hope so, but there's no need in school she'll be homeschooled from now on," the other voice said, it was very femine.

This lady must be crazy if she thinks I'm going to be one of those home schooled freaks.

I slowly walked towards Mrs. Grunder and Kelly.

"And this is Kayla," Mrs. Grunder put her arm around me and smiled.

"I have heard so many wonderful things about you, Kayla. Your going to be a great addition to my family, I mean our family," Kelly smiled at me.

Me and Kelly both walked out the building and got in her nice Porsche.

"So, your 17 right, Kayla?"

"Yeah."

"So, do you have you license, yet?" she asked me.

"No, not yet. They wouldn't let me get mine until I'm 18. Sadly, I'm only 17." I sighed.

"Well, do you want to go get it? Today?" Kelly asked me.

"Are you being serious?! Yes!! Of course I do!! That was a trick question, righ?" I exclaimed.

She laughed at my enthusiasm, "Let's go now!"

She turned the car around and than boom! We were at the driver's clinic!

"My Gosh! Kelly! Mom! I Love You!' I yelled excitedly.

"Well, I didn't want my new daughter to drive her new hummer illegally!"

"I have a hummer? I have a hummer! Kayla has a Hummer!" I let that sink in.

Kelly chuckled at my reaction. We got out the car and went to take the drivers test I was for sure I was going to ace it.
