"Dad!" I called out as I frantically searched for my father. "Dad where are you!" I screamed as I was picked up from the side. He ran as I gripped his shirt tightly as he ran down the stairs.
Smoke clouded the room and chocked me. The heat was almost unbearable and I couldn't control the coughing or gagging coming from my mouth.
A beam fell from the ceiling and I screamed but no noise came from my mouth anymore. The door was in sight but the ceiling was collapsing over us. All of a sudden I was thrown. Screaming in pain as I landed on my now broken wrist, I sat up and looked at him from the outside. I coughed as the fresh air filled my lungs, tears streaming down my face. I noticed the flaming barrier now in the doorway making it impossible to get out.
"Dad?!" His Dark hair stuck to his forehead with sweat and his big blue eyes were now clouded by something I'd never seen before. Which was Fear.
"Run, Now!" He yelled angrily as he harshly motioned for me to get away. I didn't move and he yelled again. "God dammit Lyric, go now!" I nodded and started running.
A loud crash was heard behind me and I went flying through the air once again, skidding across the hard grass. The pain from my wrist was numbed by the shock.
"Daddy!" I screamed as I watched as the flaming house caved in on itself. I started running towards it but was grabbed by a strange pair of arms. "No!" I cried out as I tried to get out of the man's grip. "Dad! Let me go! Please!" I managed to get out of the mans grip but only to see my house was crumpled to the ground in a giant flaming pile of ash. "Dad!"
I jolted upwards screaming. I tasted the salty tears that were falling from my eyes and felt as if actually inhaling the smoke once again. With neither of them stopping I could hardly breathe anymore. I was starting to get light headed when the bedroom door burst open. Louis stood in the doorway with Harry behind him.
"Shit." Louis rushed to me and put both hands on either side of my face. "Shhh... Breathe love. With me now." His eyes were completely focused as he tried to get me to breathe with him. My eyes wandered to Harry who was standing only feet away with a very worried expression on his face "Lyric look at me." My eyes found his and I calmed down almost instantly. "Breathe." He took a deep breath in and so did I. Then again and again, until I was at a steady non coughing pace but tears still freely flowing. "Harry get her some water." He nodded and ran out of the room. A pair of strong arms pulled me into his lap as he lightly rocked us back and forth.
I cried into his chest as He ran his hand through my hair and shushed me. I squeezed my eyes shut and felt myself shaking, Louis obviously noticed because he pulled me closer to his chest. Goddammit Lyric pull yourself together.
"It's alright, it's just a dream love." He said cautiously almost as if he knew it wasn't 'just a dream' for me.
I continued to cry into his shirt until I got that stab feeling in my chest and my brothers words echoed through my mind. "Never let anyone see how weak you actually are." That was the last thing I heard him say actually.
As Harry walked into the room carrying a glass of water I quickly pulled myself away from Louis and wiped my eyes getting the tears to stop as fast as I could. Which was Not easy, once I had calmed down a bit more I reached for the glass talking a sip of it before standing up. I set it on a shelf and basically ran to the bathroom.
I sighed as I tried to fully stop my quiet sobs. Once the tears ceased I splashed water on my face and tried it off with the ACDC towel Jesse had gotten somewhere unknown, that hangs in the bathroom. I looked at myself in the mirror and almost started crying again. My eyes were puffy and my cheeks were red and splotchy. Luckily it's 5 in the morning and the suns just starting to rise so no one would notice.
