Lost and found Manik

Thursday (Day 11)

Nandini's POV :

One more not so eventful day passed after that fearful night when I was almost caught by Manik.

I rushed to my office after breakfast next morning and sat in my cabin. Last night was still haunting me. Aliya was Manik's crush. Like seriously? But what if she is not? And what if it is true? Most importantly, why did Manik tell this to me? Was he really telling the truth or is it his plan to get back at me? Arghh. What to do? How to know the actual truth about this? No one ever said anything about Aliya and Manik, then why all of a sudden Manik told this to me. Aaiyappa my head will break with all these thoughts? What do I do?

My chain of thoughts broke when I heard a knock on the door. I allowed the person to come in and there she was, Soha Khurana, Aaru's sister. She is also working with us, she had a very big smile on her face. Sitting in front of me, forwarding papers to me, she spoke in an excited tone.

"Nandini see this, gosh. You will not believe! We got some clues regarding the drugs peddling case. I'm so excited about this project." Soha was getting mad with excitement. I don't blame her though, this was her first project and a very big one as well. I was helping her to track the details and guiding her as to how to get things done. She was really smart girl. She is a fast learner and I'm really impressed with her work.

We kept talking about the case and were trying to join the dots regarding the same when the door flung open and the person didn't even bother to knock the door. Idiot. Manner-less monkey. I gave him a glare and ignoring me conveniently, he sat beside Soha and said in a casual tone

"What's up ladies...??" and winked at me looking at my angry expressions to escalate it further. I just roared

"Aru you idiot, you are a brainless monkey, you don't have manners as well and you are so annoying" I kept blabbering and the bro-sis duo looked at me as if I'm an alien and burst out laughing after good 30 seconds. Pausing his laugh Aru spoke gathering his breath,

"Oh God Nandini, hahaha. You are looking so cute..." and pulled my cheeks. Arghhh. I will kill him. I jerked his hands away and he suddenly became serious and said "What is this Nandini..?" and I looked at him totally surprised with his behaviour, he never spoke to me in that tone. Why happened to him all of a sudden. I was looking at him and he continued in the same cold tone...

"Is this the way you talk to your boss? Is this the way you treat your boss!!! Tell me god dammit..." and I jumped of my seat seeing his anger and stood in front of him with my head hung low. He got up and walked towards me and said in my ears.

"Good! You should be scare of me. You untamed wild cat!" and started laughing moving back to his chair. I froze at my place, he was playing pranks with me. Now he is gone. I will kill him with my bare hands. Soha was going crazy, laughing seeing the both of us. We both were running all around my cabin. Actually I was running behind Aru, huh, he teased me soo much today. Giving up, he ran into his cabin and locked it from inside. I kicked the door with a warning and came back to my cabin. Soha controlled herself a little, but was giggling now and then.

Something stuck me and I asked Soha

"Soha.." and she just hummed in response and looked at me and I continued "Who gave you this information?". Her eyes twinkled and she clapped her hands in excitement and said

"Nandu you should have seen that guy. My goodness. He was so handsome and so hot. I just couldn't help but stare at him while he was talking to me." She kept blabbering about that guy and somewhere I found that description familiar so I asked her

"Soha, is he still in office?" to which she excitedly nodded her head in yes. I left my cabin asking her to bring that person to the conference room and I ran to Aru's room to talk to him about that guy. We both hurried to the conference room to wait for that person, meanwhile Aru was verifying the CCTV footage in his laptop. I was observing the person very keenly. The door opened and Soha walked in with that person.
