THIRTY-SEVEN.

The Next Day…

Bri & Steph have their date tonight. They are inviting me to come with them but I refused and tell them they should have their lovey dovey time alone. I’m bored at the apartment so I give myself some ‘me’ time. I went to the mall, shop a bit and just eat at my favorite restaurant. Then I remembered that I haven’t got to my favorite jazz club yet. So hereI am walking inside the jazz club and sit at the very front. I ordered my food as I waited. Do you remember who is the best singer here?

Ejhay!

I can see her from afar talking to her boyfriend; Josh as they have their water break. She cut her hair! It was very short and it was undercut. It’s so cool. She doesn’t know I came here so it’s perfect to surprise her. Minutes later, their break is finished. Ejhay and the others are walking on stage. She still didn’t saw me. This girl have eye problem huh? Haha.

“Hey guys! Our break is finish! So let’s get back to some great live music!” She said cheerfully as the people at the club cheered.

“So I’m going to sing one of my favorite songs from Demi Lovato titled-“ She stop talking and looked at my direction. Her eyes widen as she shakes her head like she can’t believe that I’m here. “BREEEEEE!!” She screeched and it was very loud. It’s a good thing the people here are still not deaf. She run over me as I stand up and she gave me a very, very tight hug. I did the same back. She let go of me as she jump up and down.

“BREE! I can’t believe you’re here!! Since when did you get back?!” She shouted.

I chuckled at her happiness. “Yester-“

“I MISS YOU SO MUCH BITCH 2!!” She interrupted me. Actually we called each other as Bitch no. 1 and 2. Crazy names we made huh? Lol.

“Bitch 1, I miss you-“

“LOOK AT YOU!! YOU’RE SO BLOOMING! YOU LOOKED SO IN LOVE! MY GOD IS ETHAN HERE?! I WANT TO MEET HIM!” She interrupted me again. I’m getting a little annoyed.  She didn’t let me finished!

“No, he can’t-“

“AAAAAAAAAH!!! BREEEE IT’S LIKE I DIDN’T SEE YOU FOR SO MANY YEARS!! I-“

“EJHAY!” I shouted. Now, I’m the one who interrupted her. Then she became quiet. “Calm down okay?” I said as she nods. “I came back here yesterday, Ethan was not here because of personal reasons and I MISS YOU A LOT TOO!” I answered all her questions as I hugged her.

“Do you even remember that I’m the most beautiful friend you have?” She asked as she showed me her puppy eyes.

I laughed. “Of course I still remember! How can I forget your beautiful face?! And by the way, I love the new look.” I said as I winked.

“Thanks, Bree!” She said cheerfully.

“Uhm, babe? You still have to sing.” Josh told Ejhay from behind. “Hi, Bree. Welcome back.” He told me as he smiled.

“Hello there, Josh. Yeah, it’s great to be back.” I said as I smiled back. I lied. I really want to stay there in Paris, with Ethan. But I missed these people too. If only I can make from Seattle to Paris for just one hour travel, I did it without double thinking.

“Oh yeah! I almost forgot! Let’s chat later, Bree. I still have work to do.” She told me as she smiled widely. She really loves her job.

“Okay, go! Give your best shot!” I cheered for her as she went back to the stage.

“Hey, sorry it took a while. I just missed my friend, Bree who came back here from Paris!” She said as the crowd cheered at me as I waved at them. “So now, I’m going to dedicate this song for her! Welcome back, Bitch 2!” She said as the music started playing.
