My body froze , he was staring at me and Tom stared at both of us back and forth with sheer amazement.
" I take it you two have already met" Tom said with a sneaky smile
"uhhh something like that" I responded , still trying to regain my witts
"I'll give you two a moment alone' said Tom , there he goes having manners again
he finally spoke " No Tom , that won't be necessary , we just had a brief encounter in the elevator , this one's got quite the mouth , what was your name again?"Mikhail said
this boy had the uncanny ability to infuriate me, I was not going to tolerate this.
"Faatimah, my name is Faatimah, and i should get going Tom i think we should work at my place , in fact come over , I'll make some coffee and you can meet my decent roommate"I said trying to keep my cool.
"another coffee drinker? well , enjoy drudging your body with chemicals" said Mikhail matter of factly
after noticing my blood boil Tom escourted me out and tried to comfort me by stating that Mikhail is a douche but a really loyal friend once you get to know him. Well I don't want to get to know him , so who cares.
We walked in on Celine indulging in one of her favourite pass times , sipping tea and watching youtubers. She almost knocked over her tea when she noticed Tom standing a the door. I couldn't help but be amused at her mortified expression , messy hair and short shorts. I thought it best to introduce them.
"Tom this is Celine , my amaaaazing roommate , future english lit major and owner of those legs you're staring at. Celine , this is Tom , my partner for a project , I think you might grow to be fond of him"
so maybe that was a little harsh, but thier longing gazes were getting to me , they had just met and already they left each other compltetely and utterly speechless. I could already feel their romance flourishing and me turning into a third wheel.
But who was i to stand in the way of young love? yeah they were hormonal idiots who didn't know a thing about each other but watching them stare all mooney-eyed inspired me.
"Tom , let's be frank , ask the girl out , or I'll ask her for you" I said , trying to get this going
His cheeks were flushed but he manned up , eventually.
"Celine , uhhh would you like to go out maybe Friday Night? Nando's?" Tom said
He had struck gold ! she loves nandos especially the cheesecake , don't ask me why
I knew i was going to pay for my mischief later , but celine answered without even thinking it through "yeah, that would be great , 8 is good."
It just goes to show all you need is a little push and I counted that as my good deed for the day , but i had my own agenda, the project !
"yeah , Tom agrees completely , don't you? now let's brainstorm , I was thinking maybe we could make the project out of candy ?" I said despite the fact that no one was paying attention.
