Dahlilah jumped with a start, sweat turning into beads and sliding down her forehead. As she put her hands up to her head and wiped the sweat of her face, she nearly fell out of bed when her alarm clock made the obnoxious noise it made. With a big sign, Dahlilah swung her feet over and softly put them on her turquoise carpet. As she stumbled to her dresser, she picked out clothes for the hell that awaited her. Highschool. Doll never liked highschool, well at least ever since Austin died. It pained her everyday walking in that building expecting to see her best friend. Only to be once again disappointed. She hasn't even talked to Malory since the incident.
After doll picked her clothes she walked out of her room and into the hallway, passing her sister room. You see, Dahlilah has a sceduale to avoid crystal. She leaves before her sister gets up and comes home from school before crystal comes home from work, and so far, its worked. When she finally made her way into the bathroom, she locked the door and stripped herself of her pajamas and hopped into the shower. As she showered her mind wandered, like usual. She always thought of the most random things, and when her parents would come back, or at least when her father would get back. She sighed and turned off the water, stepping out of the shower and putting on the outfit she picked, brushed her hair and teeth, and did her thing. Afterwards she walked out of the bathroom and made her way to the kitchen. She popped a piece of toast in the toaster as she packed her books into her book bag. A small ding had gone off in the room, causing the slightly tired girl to go and take the cooked bread out of the toaster and into her mouth. She grabbed her bag and proceeded out of the door, not forgetting to lock the door behind her. Doll thought as she walked the back way to school, ever since that day Dahlilah hasn't walked on that path since. As she made it to the steps that belonged to the school, she hesitated, then pushed open the doors and made her way inside the firery hell that awaited her.
