Chapter 2
*Melissa’s POV*
Tonight was going to be great! Ahh! I screamed inside my head.
I was so glad Hayley hadn’t backed down, it wouldn’t of been the same without her, and I’d probably have to go with my mum..
Me and Hayley were sitting in my car driving to hers. We pulled to a stop and I smiled as I reached for my bag. I opened the car door and walked up to Hayley’s front door. I watched her eagerly and waited for her to come.
“Oh Hay, hurry up!” I said, seeming a bit jumpy. Hayley smiled, and walked as slowly as she could.
“Hay that’s not fair!” I whined. She chuckled and ran up to me. She searched her pockets for her keys, I sighed. She always took forever to unlock the door.
“Excited much Mel?” she asked me, her eyes searing mine, she had a big grin on her face. I heard the sound of the door unlocking and Hayley opening it, just as she was about to walk through I ran past her and squealed.
“Sorry Hay! I'm just so excited!” I said. She looked at me for a moment, then burst out laughing.
"I think i know that Mel!" She locked the door, and we went upstairs to start getting ready.

*Hayley’s POV*
Wow time flies. We were finally ready, as we were about to go downstairs Melissa grabbed onto my arm.
“I’m so so sooo exited Hay!” she squealed. Her eyes were shining like they usually do when she’s happy.
“Let’s go girls.” I heard my mum calling us and walked out the room. I mentioned for Melissa to follow us. She took no notice, she was daydreaming. I shook my head and walked up to her. I pinched her arm, and she looked at me frowning. I couldn’t help smiling, she looked funny when she did that face.
“That really hurt you know..” she began, and I burst out laughing. “Its not funny!” She gave me a stern look, but then started laughing herself.
“C’mon do you want to go to the concert or not?” I asked. I didn’t need to wait for her to answer. She walked out of the room, and headed down the stairs. I followed her, quickly grabbing my iPod from my bag, this was going to be a long night.
We arrived at the concert in fifteen minutes. Wow. I actually couldn’t believe I’d agreed to come. I looked over at his fans. It looked like there were hundreds of thousands! I looked over at Melissa, she was holding the tickets in her hands, her eyes scanning the stage. I know who she was looking for, there was no point though, he wouldn’t be coming on for another half hour.
“Mel, let’s go to our seats.” I said, she turned around and nodded, she opened her mouth to talk but no sound came out. I smiled. She was happy. Really happy.
We made our way to our seats and sat down. I took my iPod out of my bag and put my headphones on. Melissa kept her eyes on the stage at all time, not even looking at the thousands of screaming fans behind us.
We’d been waiting for forty five minutes now. There was no sign of him. I smiled hoping he’d cancelled his concert, so me and Melissa could go home. She looked upset, I knew how much she’d been looking forward to this. Oh well there’s always next time, and next time I’m NOT coming. I took my headphones out of my ears and turned to look at Melissa. I was about to speak when I heard the sound of his voice.
“Hey everyone, sorry I’m late! There was a problem backstage!”
Before he even finished saying hey, everyone was screaming like mad, Melissa was crying of happiness, her mascara starting to smudge a bit. Mmm, this was going to be long. I put my headphones back on and sat in my seat. Everyone else stood up and waited for him to sing.
Pretend you’re at home Hayley, pretend you’re at home.
*Justin’s POV*
“So what songs do you guys wanna hear me sing first?”
They all started shouting all different songs. I smiled, I loved my fans. I looked at everyone at the front row and tried to hear what they were all saying when I saw one girl just sitting there listening to her iPod.
Does she not know I’m about to sing? I stared at her for a couple of minutes then turned to the girl next to her who looked really happy,I smiled, I’d decided I was going to sing ‘Baby’.
“Ohh wooaah, Ohh wooaah, Ohh wooaah.. “ I carried on singing, dancing to the song and watching everyone else sing along. They were all dancing too.
I smiled then looked at the girl again. She was still not taking any notice of me. I carried on singing the song not taking my eyes off her at all. I sang a few more of my songs, and thanked everyone.
“Ok guys, time for a little break, I’ll be back soon! Don’t go anywhere!”
I winked and then walked off stage, before I got off I saw the girl stand up and roll her eyes. Did she not like me?
*Hayley’s POV*
I stood up rolling my eyes at what he’d just said. Does he read a book on what to say to your fans before you leave the stage or something. I picked up my bag and looked at Melissa. She was already standing next to the security guard who was blocking the entrance to go backstage.
That’s when I realised I had the VIP passes in my bag. I ran over to Melissa and stopped. Melissa looked at me shaking her head, then burst out laughing.
I showed the security guard the passes and we went through the door, I hoped he wasn’t going to talk to me.
