Ok, I'm not that familiar with the military so please don't be mad
I'll try and find a cast for the people.........so Sam's person is not going to look like a guy, at all. Everyone there just assumes "he" got his mother's features or something XD idk

Sam had never been so happy to see food. She hungrily ate down the hot, bland, and dry, fried chicken. Sam look down at herself when she was done eating. She look up at James, who was standing near the door leaning against the wall. They briskly made eye contact, James giving her an apologetic look.

Basic Survival was exactly how it sounded. The trainees learned the differences between what was good to eat and what wasn't. What to do if you are injured and you have no medical items. And other survival skills.
Afterwards it was Target Practice II. It was the same instructor as Target Practice but different students. Among the new students were Howard and Albert. Sam studied the other students when she came upon her brother, Henry. She quickly looked in another direction and tried to cover her face.
Howard gave her a questioning look but shrugged when Sam didn't respond.

It was finally the end of the day. Sam was wet, her knees and elbows were caked in mud and she had tiny cuts on the back of her neck where she had been cut by the barbed wire. Sam felt as if she could just collapse on the floor. The young men all headed into the facility for dinner. When they reached the door to the canteen they kept on walking. Sam assumed they were going to another canteen because something was wrong with the one they normally ate in.
They reached another room which James opened. The all the walls had white tile and at one end where shower heads. The boys started to walk in and began to undress. Sam let out a tiny squeak- her face burning red- and ran out of the facility and ran for James's cabin. In front of his door there was a man with salt and pepper cropped hair. He wore a general's uniform and had many medals.
"Oy! You there! What are you doin' away from everyone! Sneaking out I see. Well, you will be punished. Do you know the consequences for running away? Hmmm?" the man said. He spoke with an accent Sam was unfamiliar with. She assumed it was British or the likes of that.
"No-no, sir. General James...um...wanted me to get something from his cabin," Sam said, praying that he would not catch her lie.
The man seemed unconvinced and took Sam by the arm and led her back to the facility- the one place she did not want to be. Sam kept her eyes shut tightly.
James was in front of the shower room and looked like he was about to doze of until he heard the loud voice of the general from Britain.
"James ol' chap! Is it true you gave permission to this young lad to get something from you room?" the man asked James.
"Uh, yes," said James, nervous the general would figure out the truth.
"If you say so. Carry along now, lad," the general said to Sam.
Sam let out a huge sigh of relief. Sam left James and the other general to go back to Jame's cabin.
Sam quickly headed to the shower scrubbing of the dried blood from her neck where she was cut. The water was freezing cold, what was she expecting from here? The cold helped to numb her aching joints, but it would helped more if the water was warm. After about three minutes the water shut off on its own, Sam sighed and reluctantly gout out and put on a clean pair of clothes, well as clean as it can get here in the army base.
Sam trudged back to the facility, about to enter the canteen. James was inside the canteen, his back facing Sam. She sighed and was about to sit next to him but decided against it. She sat at the seat at the very corner so she would avoid the gaze of other.
One by one the tired men started to fill the room and took a tray of food. She started to pick at the bland mashed potatoes when she noticed her brothers' gaze. They were sitting at a table across from her. She was about to cover her face with her hair but then she realized she didn't have any.
She lowered her face avoiding eye contact, praying they wouldn't recognize her.
Soon dinner was over and they headed back to their cabin's. She was about to enter her cabin when she was stopped.
"Sam, what are you doing here?"
The voice was so familiar and she immediately recognized it. It was her brother.
