Alison's POV
I pulled into the parking lot of Tyler's apartment, well acually it's more like a house above ground. It's so big, it easily could be. I still didn't know anything about him, except he can cook, he's hot and, he's loaded.
He asked me to come over. I didn't really know why, but I just went along with it. He said it was important.
I walked in the apartment and went to the top floor. I heard some voices in the apartment before I knocked on the door. Tyler opened it, and an older guy stood behind him.
"Hey Ally, I just wanted you to meet my dad." He said motioning for me to come in. I stood in front of his dad while he introduced us, then we shook hands.
"I heard a lot about you. I can't say I'm impressed by your line of work, but you seemed to do a lot of good by it." He said.
"My parents didn't like it either." I said nervously laughing. He kept a completely straight face. We stood in awkward silence before I somehow made it worse.
"You know, a lot of people who don't like the whole 'YouTube job' thing, just don't really understand it and all the work we put into everything."
He looked at me, obviously unimpressed. I looked down at my toes and fiddled with my thumbs. I'm not normally this awkward around my boyfriend's parents, but he looked so important and this visit was very unexpected. He was definitely rich and that made me nervous.
It seemed like forever, until an oven beeped and Tyler walked us into the dining area. He left us alone in awkward silence, while he went to get the meal.
"So, Mr. Peirce-"
"Cut the crap."
"Excuse me? All I said was your name."
"How much were you hoping to get out of this little 'relationship' of yours?"
"Um, I'm not sure what you mean-"
"Money, jewelry, what?"
"No, nothing like that."
"Whatever you want, I'll buy it for you, just don't hurt my little boy." He said keeping a straight face the whole time. I paused for a second before replying.
"Has it really happened to you that many times?"
And just like that, Tyler walked in. I was honestly shocked. I mean, I've heard of gold diggers, but that's just terrible. Just because someone's rich doesn't mean they don't deserve something real. Although I shouldn't be saying anything. To be honest, I'm not sure we have anything real either.
Shane's POV
We sat down in the kitchen and I cooked up some food. We sat in silence for a while, until Tara broke that silence.
"Shane? I know this isn't really something I normally would ask but, can I, maybe, stay here for a few days?" Tara asked with tears in her eyes.
"Of course. You can stay as long as you need and if there's anything I can do, just ask."
"Thank you so much, Shane. You've always been so much nicer than any other guy I've known."
"Well all the guys you've known are complete douches."
"Yeah, I sure know how to pick 'em, huh?"
"You always have." I said taking another bite of the pizza. There was a brief silence until Tara turned her head down tword her own plate.
"Do you remember Tyler Peirce?"
"The 'king' himself? Don't get me started on him."
"He's the father."
