"OH MY GOSH MEG," Luke yelled at me as I showed him my school picture, "YOU LOOK SO WEIRD,"

"I get it L, gosh. Don't yell, now show me your picture!" I said to him, I admitted I sounded pouty at the "Don't yell" part, but he was yelling, and it was embarrassing. He reluctantly handed me his photo after me shoving him in the arm a little. I took one glance at it and cracked up.

"YOU SAY I LOOK WEIRD? TAKE A LOOK IN THE MIRROR BRUH!" I yelled at him, this time having people turn away from their lockers looking at me. I blushed a little and gave off a small smile.

In all honestly, I really thought he looked good

In all honestly, I really thought he looked good. Not in the weird 'I love you so much Luke,' way, I mean in like how confident he is. I actually wish that I could smile like that, but I can't. I care about what people think of me, but Luke doesn't, I mean how could he? The whole school loves him. He is the star player on the Colts Baseball team. Even though we are freshmen, and it's hard to get in then, he got in, when he was in 8th Grade. The tryouts were for 9th-12th grade, but, he was confident in his abilities and didn't care if he embarrassed himself,  and the coaches found that amazing. Not only were his skills good, but how confident he was in his abilities, Luke was the first ever, 8th grader, to make the Colts. I couldn't tell him that though, he would find it weird, I mean I was his best friend AND a girl.

"Meg? Did you hear what I said?" Luke waved a hand over my face with a confused look on his face. I guess I had been lost in thought. I realised I was still holding his picture.

"No, sorry, I zoned out," I said handing him back his picture. He smiled at me and shook his head, his smile immediately disappeared off of his face.

"Thanks," he mumbled, "but as I was saying before, are you coming to my game tonight?" I guess I looked confused because he looked at me with an 'are you serious, it's for the Colts' look. My eyes widened as I realised what he meant.

"OF COURSE I'M GOING, WHY WOULDN'T I?" I practically yelled in his ear.

"Just for clarification," Luke mumbled whilst itching his neck, "I mean I am your ride, so you kinda have to come," Luke said poking me in the arm.

"Are you, the amazing Luke Will, blackmailing me?" I asked smirking. I never thought he would learn anything from me. He smiled and pretended to zip his lips closed. All of a sudden Lukes smile disappeared almost as fast as it came.

"Uh, did I ever show you my amazing new phone," Luke said nervously pushing me into his locker. Phew, it stinks in here, was my first immediate reaction, not WHY ARE YOU SHOVING ME IN A LOCKER??? All of a sudden I realised why it stunk so much, he had shoved me into his Baseball Jacket. He always wore it after practice, when he was all sweaty. Gross, I thought to myself. All of a sudden, I remembered that he was ticklish on his stomach, I took the opportunity to tickle him with my free hand. He immediately let go and I looked out at what he tried so to hard to shield me from. I almost decided to push my head back in his locker, but I would probably get stuck. I had to stare at them.

Mike Tarver and Clara Ann Thompson

Mike Tarver and Clara Ann Thompson. Her name was Clara Ann, but everyone called her Clara.I have had a huge crush on Mike since 3rd year. He had always Liked Clara, he used to tell me everything going on in his life, then he joined the basketball team. Mike immediately went to one of the most popular guys in the school, just below Luke. No, I totally didn't measure popularity at my school... I'm totally not number 87. He stopped telling me stuff when he started dating Clara in 8th Grade. I was happy for him, but I never did get over him. No matter how much I tried to hate Clara Ann, I couldn't. I couldn't hate her for dating Mike. I couldn't hate her for stealing shortstop on my softball team. I couldn't hate her for being in my Advanced English. I couldn't hate Clara Ann. Nobody could. She was one of the most popular girls, but she was so nice. Mike and Luke are actually good friends, so naturally Clara and I talk a little bit. Mike and I still talk, but not like we used to. They walked past us, Mike smiling at Luke, and Clara giving me a little wave. I was happy for both of them, I just had to get over him.

"You okay?" Luke asked me snapping me out of my train of thought.

"Yeah, thanks for trying to hide that, all though it probably looked weird with you shoving me in a locker," I said shoving his arm a little bit.

"Heh, so, was it stinky in my locker?" I looked at Luke with disgust in my eyes.

"Ha, ha," I said sarcastically.

"Was that sarcasm?" Luke asked me. He actually looked confused.

"No," I answered with more sarcasm.

"Oh! THAT WAS SARCASM WASN'T IT, THAT MEANS THAT THE THING BEFORE IT WAS SARCASM TOO!" Luke yelled. It sure was weird with it echoing down the hall. We both laughed at him and then the evil awkward silence hit. Luke started fidgeting with his bag and pulled out a little picture of his school picture. Luke pushed it in my hands. I smiled automatically, I knew exactly why he gave it to me. Every year we give each other our school pictures. I pulled mine out of my back pocket and handed it to him. He smiled and grabbed some tape out of his bag, and taped it up in his locker. The bell rang and we smiled.

"See you in Chemistry," I said shutting out the silence. Luke started blushing but stopped.

"Yeah," Luke answered looking lost in thought. I started walking to History. I turned around where Luke was standing, but he was shutting his locker and about to walk away when we made eye contact. He smiled and waved. I waved back and turned around to walk to History. I could not be late. I had to make a quick stop at my locker to grab my bag and put his picture under the magnet that I always use to put his picture up. I put in my password and opened my locker. I put his picture under the magnet and grabbed my bag. I closed my locker, put my lock on, and rushed down the hall and up the stairs. I could not be late to History. I will get in so much trouble.
