Chapter 1 ☆

Tossing and turning in my bed, reaching my hand out to hit the alarm clock. I give it one brutal hit and it shuts up. I look up at the clock, "6:00 am".

"Another shitty day, for my shitty life.." I say as I groan and slowly get up out of my bed.

I walk into my bathroom frowning with a disgusted face as I look in the mirror.

"Ew, I look terrible." I start picking at my tooth and ruffling my hair. I look at my body and start grabbing my stomach and squishing it.

"Too fat.." I felt the insecure thoughts flowing into my mind.

I grab my toothbrush and next the toothpaste, I begin rinsing the toothbrush with water, about to apply the toothpaste, but was quickly interrupted.

"Hurry the bloody hell up Jamie!" I heard my mom scream from downstairs.

I sighed. I knew if I said something back the next thing I would feel is a slap to the face.

I quickly brushed my teeth, washed my face, and brushed my hair. I decided to chose one of my "emo, edgy looks", aka my entire closet.

Quickly afterwards I was rushing down the stairs to see my fairly upset mother. She looked me up and down with a mean look.

"What the fuck is that trash you're wearing?" She screamed. "I bought some actual nice looking clothes for you to wear, at least try to make our family look kept!"

"This is just WAY more comfortable than that girly stuff.." I mumbled.

My mom began walking up to me with a giant slap afterwards.

"Don't you sass me, I don't have to take care of you, I could get rid of you if I wanted to! You're worthless!"

"Then why don't you?" I yelled back, while running right past her and out the door.

I ran all the way down the street, tears streaming down my face as I wiped them with my sleeve. I didn't dare look back once, I had decided I would walk to school, heck, I may even skip, go on a little adventure. I pulled my phone out my back pocket and texted my best friend, Kate while continuing to walk.

I smiled down at my phone. "Cool, a date with my love~." I thought.

I walk a couple blocks further into the city, the scenery was beautiful. Billboards and people walking, people sitting, giant building so far up it seemed they could touch the stars. Sounds of laughter and talking. Dogs barking, an old woman feeding the birds, smiling. The taxi cars flying by. Absolutely beautiful. I looked a little futher and there it was, Frostie's cafe.

I walk into the small cafe, greeted by one of the workers, actually one of my friends, Lucas.

"Heya, Jamie." He smiles while looking up from wiping down the counter.

"Wassup." I say with a laugh.

"Whatcha doing here?" He says with a sarcastic tone.

"I'm on a date~." I stick my tounge out.

"Oooh, with who?" He questions.

"My waifuu~." I say trying to annoy the weeb.

"Oh, you mean Kate, don't cha?"

"Mhmm, we're skipping together."

"No no, you two have school?"

"Yeah, but I wanted to skip, my mum was being a bitch, I wasn't in the mood for more BS." I say yawning.

"Jamie, I know you don't want to but you have to go to school, it's for your own good." He said with a sad face.

"Yeah yeah, whatever dad."

He laughs, "Just make sure you two go tomorrow, okayy?" He said smiling a bit.

"Finee." I said sighing in defeat. "Just hurry up and make me two frappes, my waifu will be here soon, don't wanna keep her waiting." I say giving him finger guns and sitting down in the avalible seat in front of the counter, saving a chair next to me for Kate.

"Caramel or Chocolate?"

"If you don't know this, you aren't my friendd." I said teasing him.

"Alright, Caramel it is."

"Don't forget to make one for Kate." I said reminding him.

"Yeah yeah, I know love." He turned around and began making the drinks.

After what seemed like forever, I heard the door's bell ring and I felt my face turn into a big, dorky grin and spun around in my chair and saw Kate.

"Jamie Bear!" She ran up to me as I jumped out the chair and gave her a bear hug.

"Hello love~." I said with a sarcastic, flirty tone.

She giggled. "What are we having~?" She said playing along.

"The most finest Caramel frappes, prepared by the best worker here, Lucas." I turned around and saw Lucas bowing.

"Of course, my Ladies." He bowed for a second then the laughter started, I was practically howling while banging on the table. I wiped a tear and smiled.

"We're such losers~." I heard Kate laugh beside me.

"Yep, but the best losers of course!" He said rushing from behind the counter and giving Kate an I a giant bear hug.
