Chapter 6

Kyle ran out the kitchen and down the hallway. "Kyle!" I shouted as he ran to the backyard. I started sprinting. I was close behind him.

The backyard was full of people training but I don't think they mind me trying to kill their Alpha. I even saw some people laugh. We did look ridiculous if I must say.

I was right behind Kyle when I jumped on his back and we fell to the ground. Then I started punching him.

"Sara. Stop it." Kyle whined like a little kid. He tried to grab my wrists but I was too fast for him.

"No. You lied about there being bacon." I yelled at him. That's when I felt someone pull me off of Kyle.

"Thank you David. I think you just saved my life." Kyle chuckled. David helped him stand up and told the people that were training to go back to work.

"Sara look at me." David said. I turned to look at David. "My mate Paige, made you some bacon." He pointed to the lady standing next to him.

She was pretty with long brown hair that was wavy and she had very tanned skin. She had blue eyes and was short, 5'6. She was wearing a purple dress with brown gladiator sandals.

"Hi. It's finally nice to meet you." She told me while handing me the plate of crispy bacon.

I took the plate and began eating. "Thank you so much. I love you already. Kyle is gonna have to fight this bacon for me." I said. It was super good, best bacon ever. Paige giggled. That's when I felt Kyle wrap his arms around my waist.

"Trust me babe, I've already won." He whispered in my ear. While I was distracted by his sexy voice he took some of my bacon.

"Kyle!" I yelled as he ran off into the woods. "Please hold my bacon Paige. I think I can trust you to not eat it." I said before I ran off after Kyle.

The woods. My favorite place in the whole world. But someone had to ruin it. "Mate." I murmered.

"But you love him" my wolf said.

"Too true."

I ran for a while following Kyle's scent. He smelled of the forest and cinnamon, a very weird but wonderful smell together.

I heard voices so I slowed my pace. I sniffed the air. Rouges.

"Alpha Kyle. What a pleasure to see you. That must mean your mate isn't that far away." Said some guy. Kyle was surrounded by 5 rouges. Two on his right, two on his left and one completely facing him.

"Well she's not." Kyle replied.

"Tell me where she is."

"No. I won't."

"Then I have no choice. Darek told me not to kill you but there's no other way." He snarled. He changed into wolf form and jumped at Kyle. But before he could lay a paw on him, I jumped out of the bushes in wolf form and tackled him to the ground. He left his neck wide open so I took the chance and bit into his neck ending his life.

There was another one coming at me. I moved out his way then jumped on his back. He fell because of my weight. Once his neck was open I took a bite out of his throat.

I turned to face the others but saw that only one was left and was in the jaws of Kyle.

Snap!

Well there goes the last one. We shifted back and ran over to each other. I hugged Kyle tight and he hugged me back while falling to our knees.

"I thought I was gonna lose you." I cried looking up at him.

"You'll never lose me, ever." He replied. "And that jumping changing thing you did was sexy." I giggled.
