Facing Destiny

chapter 2

First day in the university was quite interesting and my course mates are fun to be with. lectures ended by 2:00pm and we waved goodbye to each other, i went to the cafeteria to grab lunch and and wait for Ahmad to finish his lectures. 

just then my phone rang, i checked to see my best friend haneefah calling me....i picked the call with a  smile because i missed her so much.

"Hey girl,how you doing and how's your first day at the university?'' she asked

''Huh, it was awesome and boring as well because you're not here with me..and i'm fine,how you too and how is umma doing?'' i answered her. 

"She's fine. hannah please do you have time now i want to discuss something with you?" she asked, then i realized something must be bothering my friend. 

''Ohh well, am still in school but will call you as soon as i reach home,take care" i added quickly  because i saw Ahmad with his friends coming.

 ''Alright,take care too." with that she hung up.

''Hey Hannah, how's your day today,these are my friends..'' he introduced me to his friends and we exchanged greetings with them. then we went straight to the car.during our drive back home, Ahmad offered to give me a tour later in the evening which i gladly accepted.

Later in the evening

I put on my long, black gown and waited for him in front of my house. He arrived sooner than i expected, he wore blue jeans and white polo shirt with a blue p-cap. Ahmad entered my house to greet my parent because he ddnt meet my dad earlier that morning when he came to pick me for school,umma introduced him to dad and he seems very excited.

Zaria city was bigger than i expected it to be,he took me to the Emir's palace, showed me many places in my campus; mosques, eateries and places where i can refresh after lectures.

On our way back home, Ahmad told me about himself and how they relocated back to Zaria when he was Seventeen years old due to some insecurity reasons. When we reached home, it was already 7:30pm. Ahmad prayed Maghrib and Ishai before going home.
