Walking onto the porch i am greeted to the sight of the winter woods, a dust like snow fall greeting the morning air where in the woods are trees that give the illusion of death, the road outside had just been cleaned off by a passing snowplow. Raven looks at me asking. "Teachers at the school you went to give you hell?" I nod and say. "Because i wouldn't take off my headphones while i was doing my work. So i left the room slamming the door. Vampire strength broke the damn thing that i continued to leave through glass until i was shot. Anything that happened after that is a blurr. I know it seems like i don't trust anyone but i trust both of you." Vanesa smirks and says. "So you do trust people." I nod and say. "I cannot be blamed for not trusting parent figures." Vanesa and Raven nod in understanding. Mom walks out and Vanesa says. "Speaking of parent figures." Mom opens. "I do understand if you don't trust me." Turning to her i say. "I was left to listen to the things that asshole did for three years. THREE YEARS!!! Why the hell would i even trust a parent figure after the shit i've been put through." Vanesa looks at me saying. "Your mom thought you were dead. So she set out to help kids escape situations like what you, Raven, and i escaped from. None of that CYS shit. Truly helping kids with real problems. While doing so she came across your YouTube channel. Then she set out to help you get free." Mom nods and adds. "But you ran into Dan who was on his way to get you to leave with him. The way the United States government is set up you do belong to him." Looking my mother in the eye i say. "If they force me to go back he'll torture me the way he does all his prisoners. I don't even want to go to a school while that bastard is alive." Raven nods and adds. "He's seen us two so he'll be after anyone that saw him fire the gun even if he thinks Max is dead. That pins a target on Vanesa's back and mine." Vanesa smiles saying. "Could be worse." Raven turns to her saying. "It is worse. We've got a crazy person who wants to kill us. On top of that the government is just sitting on their asses not doing a damn thing when they know this all is unfolding. The only thing that care about is getting their money."
