I scanned the beach and to my surprise the girl was sitting there,
I walked up to her and sat down,
We sat and stared at the sky,
The girl had blonde hair and wore a dress the colour of calmness,
We didn't talk because no words needed to be spoken,
Not even a hello,
In the sunset the girl was aglow,
Her pale face streaked with gold as the sunset ignited her heart,
After an hour she stood up and walked to the waters edge,
At that moment I made a pledge,
When this girl is near me I shall keep her safe until she flees,
And becomes one with the grass and trees,
That lay in the meadow above the beach,
Out of sight and out of reach.
