We woke to the sound of sea gulls and waves,
Our faces were practically touching when we woke and immediately sat up,
I linked my arm through hers and put my hand on her waist,
She held onto my shoulder and shook,
"What's wrong?" I asked, concerned,
"I'll have to go back."
"Why?"
"I need my power to survive, I usually charge myself up in day time and come out about sun set."
I looked at her and smiled,
"I'll look forward to seeing you then."
The sun burst in a flash of orange into the pink morning sky,
I kissed her goodbye and she walked slowly back into the waves,
No words,
There were no words to describe the feeling that I felt at that moment,
Or at anytime that I was with her,
When she touches me,
The energy that pulses through my veins is almost supernatural,
I feel like a new super hero,
Saving the day one person at a time,
Now I know why I always love sunset,
She is the sunset,
She is the sun,
The moon,
And all of the billions and billions of stars,
She is what makes the world spin around,
She is what makes me feel like I can fly,
The spots on a ladybird,
The stripes on a zebra,
Light to dark,
Black to white,
The strings to my heart,

She... Is the sunset.
