Blood on my hands.

Robyn (POV)

I wake up to see a canopy of green. I smile before I remember where I am. I look to my right to see Jewels asleep. I sigh and start to pack our bags. We ate some crackers and dried fruit yesterday so I will need to hunt today. I go over to jewel's branch and tried to wake her up.

" Jewels we need to go, or we won't be able to catch up with wade." I say gently.

Jewels slowly opens her eyes as she nods. I smile as kindly as I can and then climb down the tree. I look around to find a group of birds on a nearby branch. I grin to myself as I slowly pick up a knife. I normally do this with a bow but oh well.

I watch the bird as I fling the knife strait into its neck. It falls but the others escape. I whisper a 'yes' then go to collect the bird. When I get closer I see it had a metal beak. Thank goodness I saw it first. I turn to see Jewels looking at me and I smile.

" Are you ready to go?" I ask.

" Yes and I saw some plants over there we could use for food." She says. Ok then.

Its been nearly 5 hours and our water supply was gone 2 hours ago. We moved from the mountain ares to the desert one. It made walking twice as hard. We were taking a break when we heard a familiar yell. Wade. I tell jewels to stay where she was and used my remaining strength to sprint in the direction of the voice.

When I get there I see 3 guys standing on one side and wade on the other with a arrow in his shoulder. I quickly recognized the boys to be from 10 ,11 and 9. Great. I quickly but quietly ran behind 10 as he was close to me. I use a knife and get him in the neck. The cannon sounds, this gets all the boys attention.

" Hello gentleman it would be super if you could let my friend go." I say in a mocking sweet voice.

" Ha no way 12. You may be the capitals 'Star' but you could do nothing to us." Samson, the boy from 11 says.

" Why does everyone keep saying that?" I say annoyed remembering my encounter with coral. I jump into action and throw my knives at them. The boy from 9 is distracted by something so my knife kills him quickly. Samson managed to doge it though. Yay.

The next thing I know I'm on the floor with a small sword to my throat. I look up at Samson to see fury in his eyes.

" Samson please don't make me do this painfully." I say.

" Ha you think so much of yourself." Samson says angrily.

I sigh and then take out my sickle and slice his hand. He drops the sword. I get up and kick his legs so he falls to the ground. I then quickly slice his throat. The cannon sounds and I look towards Wade. He is sanding up with his wound already covered. I am confused until I see Jewels looking at me.

" Hey what did I tell you?" I ask her.

" Sorry but wade needed my help, did you really kill them. " jewels said quietly.

What I just did suddenly hit me like a bus, I look back at the 3 boys. They had a family. Had friends and I took them away from it all.

" I'm sorry, please will you collect some flowers from over there" I say quietly to Jewels. She nods and went to collect flowers. I turn to the body's and move towards them. I place them in a line and place one hand on top of the other. When jewels comes back I place flowers in all their hands while I sing.

Are you, are you,

Coming to the tree,

Where they hung a man,

They said who murdered 3,

Strange things have happened here,

No stranger would it see ,

If we loved, and lived,

Outside the hanging tree.

I let a tear fall and then place 3 fingers to my lips and then held them in the air. I grabbed the bow district 11 boy had and then left. I had blood on my hand that will never go away.
