~Andy's POV~

I sat at the side of the bed watching Ashley laying there. He was skin and bones.

I found him one night when I went to check on him. He had been lying on the floor of his kitchen with a broken bottle of whiskey beside him; his hair was soaked with it. And then there were pills scattered on the floor beside him.

I had made sure he was still breathing before checking in his cupboards. I found syringes and packets of powders. There were tons of drugs everywhere in his apartment.

I had phoned for an ambulance and sat with him, holding him in his unconscious state. I think he had overdosed on something...

The wait on the ambulance had been agonizing. Finding out he had that many problems had been agonizing, I never knew what happened when he wouldn't respond to my texts or calls.

The ambulance had taken us both to the hospital and then Ash had been rushed away to have his stomach pumped to try to get the drugs out of his system.

I had called the guys, my voice had cracked when Jinxx had picked up the phone and he instantly knew something very bad had happened, because I never cried.

I had explained to him what had happened through the tears that had clogged up my throat. He promised that he'd phone the guys and get them to come to the hospital.

And he had, so the four of us had sat there, waiting. I had also called his grandparents and told them as well, they deserved to know what had happened to their grandson that they had raised so well.

It turned out that Ashley has fallen into a coma, his body was too weak to deal with what had happened so it had shut down while he recovered but the doctors didn't know how long it would take until his body decided that he was well enough to wake up so they had hooked him up to a life support machine.

It had been years since that day. I visited as often as I could. We had split the band up; we couldn't continue it with Ashley like this. Even after he woke up, it wouldn't be good for him; he wouldn't be able to handle the stress.

So now he was 32. He was 32 years old and he was going to die today. Unless he magically woke up before I had to pull the plug.

I was the only one, who had enough courage to do it, plus I had found him like this, and I wanted to see him leave.

It was going to happen at 5 PM tonight. His grandparents were coming as well as the guys. Everyone would be dressed in black in mourning for the magnificent bassist.

We had been allowed to dress him in his own clothes for this moment though. So we had gone through his clothes and picked out his 'Deviant' leather vest and a pair of ripped black skinnies and his favourite pair of cowboy boots.

I had also put his war paint on him. It had been so long since we had worn war paint but I felt like it would be the right way for him to go out.

We had a small ceremony set out. We were going to be playing Lost It All when I pulled the plug. And only at the end of the song would I be pulling the plug.

The guys slowly started to arrive; we all had our war paint on as well. His grandparents showed up and to my surprise had put on Ashley's war paint in honour of him.

We were going to say speeches first. The doctors told us that they would leave us alone to do this because they didn't want to intrude on us. But we HAD to pull the plug at 5.

CC went first. "I've known Ashley for quite a few years... before all of this happened. He was always such a sweet guy, always up for a laugh. He was always so happy. He was m-my best friend, and I miss him so much even though he's not gone just yet... I hope you have a good time up wherever you're going buddy." He set down a bouquet of black roses on Ashley's chest before stepping back.

Jake went next. "Ashley was a great guy... I... despite how annoying he was sometimes with his rampant partying, I'm proud to call him my brother. We had some great laughs together, I'm gonna miss him..." Jake placed a dog-tag necklace with Ashley's name on it over his head.

Jinxx went third. "Ashley, despite how shy he was sometimes was a great friend. I'm glad I met him. He always had so much energy and liked to have fun... I thought he was a bit strange when I first met him, but we all are... he always liked to help people. I-I miss him..." Jinxx tied a bandana around one of Ashley's belt loops.

His grandparents went second last. "He was such a g-great kid, always happy. Despite what some people said sometimes, he ignored them and continued to just be himself. He's made us so proud. When his parents died and we took him in he was sad for a while, but then he discovered music and he was happy again, always playing around on different instruments. Goodbye Ashley, have fun up in heaven..." They both gave him a kiss on the cheek.

I was last... oh god. "Ashley was one of my b-best friends... the pain I felt when I found him on his kitchen floor like that was agonizing, the wait that night in the hospital, everything. But hopefully he's in a better place now. He helped me to bring together my dream that was Black Veil Brides. He was the best bassist around, his energy on stage was terrific. He was always so nice towards the fans... towards everyone that was nice to him. I miss him s-so f-fucking much..." I felt tears begin to fall down my face at this point along with everyone else in the room. Lost It All was playing and it was nearing the end of the song.

'I believe that we all fall down sometimes...'

I'm going to have to pull in a second.

I leant over him and kissed his forehead before placing his cowboy hat on his head.

"Goodbye buddy. Hope it's better for you on the other side..." I whispered to him just as the last line of Lost It all played.

'I believe that we all fall down sometimes... yeah...'

And with that I pulled the plug on him. His chest stopped moving.

He was gone.

AN:// I've had this part written for around a year now, I guess. But I know by this point I won't be writing out the story in full. But, Ashley dreamt what had happened in the first part..
