Kaycee; As soil buries my brother, my friend, my family member I wonder if I could have saved him. If he had just let me die... As the tears roll down my cheeks. My shoulders going up and down. It reminded me of when Jackson was having a seizure, just before he...
Help him! Help him! Someone save him! Just put him out of his misery! And me.
The last pack of soil dropped onto his makeshift coffin. I sob for what feels like forever.
"We need to go" Sam sighed while we were sitting on the couch, "They'll be looking for us any day now. Once they realize their men were killed."
We unlocked the front door and we walked outside. There seemed to be more infected in the street than there was the day Jackson died.
Nathan; I was generally terrified of the infected. I knew that if you were scratched or bitten you were done for. I was afraid of becoming one of them. They looked normal, but their eyes were completely green. They were fast when they had just turned, and slow several hours after. The ones that had turned more than 72 hours ago had already began to decay. Sometimes you could see their ribcages. The only way to kill one is to damage the brain or cut off the circulation to the brain. Slit it's throat or shoot it in the head. They are also attracted to loud noises and smells.
Third Person; Nathan ran up to an infected and grabbed its arm, making sure not to touch it's fingers. He pulled it down to the ground and stomped on it's head. Kaycee pulled out her silenced pistol and shot several infected in the head. Sam grabbed a baseball bat and began swinging at the infected.
There was about thirty more infected.
Nathan swore and said "Let's run past them! Don't let them grab you!"
They ran through the horde of infected. Sam stopped to bash an ugly looking infected's head in with her baseball bat. Nathan stopped and saw a tall infected coming up behind Sam.
"Duck!" Nathan yelled to Sam and she crouched down and Nathan pulled a pocket knife from his pocket and pulled it open. He flipped it upside down quickly and threw it at the infected behind Sam.
It staggered backwards and pulled the knife from it's eye socket. The eye was still on the knife.
"Run!" Nathan yelled to Sam and she ran for him. Nathan sprinted for Kaycee who was twenty yards ahead.
The three of them ran down the street until they came to an intersection.
"Right!" Kaycee yelled. They made a right and Nathan ran into an infected. The infected stumbled backwards and fell onto its back. Nathan fell at the infected's feet. Nathan staggered to his feet. Nathan looked back at Sam and saw she was right behind him.
"Let's go!" Sam yelled and pushed Nathan along.
Kaycee came to another intersection and called back to the others "We gotta make a left!"
"Couldn't we have just gone straight?" Nathan asked, breathing heavily.
"Not everyone's gonna be like you" Kaycee smiled, referring to homosexuality.
"Only if the Internet still existed, then you could quote that to Twitter" Nathan smiled, sighed and started sprinting down the street.
Sam started to get tired. She slowed down. "Hey!" She called to Kaycee. "Can we stop?"
"Not unless you wanna turn into a blood hungry cannibal" Kaycee yelled back.
Sam sighed and jogged down the street.
Twenty minutes passed and Kaycee stopped running. She looked over to her right and saw an empty house.
"Let's go here!" She said as Nathan and Sam caught up.
