When I woke up, I thanked God it was Saturday. My roommate, Claire, usually went for runs in the mornings and spends the afternoon at her boyfriend's.

I was half-awake when there was a knock on my door. For a second, my heart dropped. Before I could even sit up, Gio burst into my room. When I see his face, my heart rate slows down.

Sometimes, I regret ever giving him a spare key.

"You scared me," I shouted, holding onto my covers for dear life. "I also could be naked in here, you know?"

"Please, as if you'd ever be casually hanging around naked." He rolled his eyes, jumping onto my bed.

"Good point." I moved aside so he could fit his rather large body.

"You wanna explain to me why I got a text at 2 in the morning saying that you, my sweet little child, made out with Eleanor the devil Williams?"

I tried my hardest not to blush. "Give me my phone first."

Gio made a face but reached into his back pocket and put my phone in my hands. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't hoping to see Kheli's name pop up when I turned it on.

"Tell me about Eleanor?"

"It was... weird?" I bit my lower lip, wondering how the hell to explain last night. I placed my phone on my belly and turned to Gio, my hands instantly going to his hair. "One moment I was peeing, the next we were shouting and she said some stuff about Kheli—"

"What did she say?"

"That doesn't matter..." I shrugged it off. It was weird enough that most of what she said sounded like stuff Gio had said. "We were both mad at each other and then suddenly, I don't know why or how, but we're, like, making out? I mean, I know Eleanor's kind of an ass but she's so—"

I bit my lip, lost for words.

"Hot?" Gio snorted, wiggling his eyebrows at me.

I nodded slowly. My phone vibrated against my belly. I reached for it but Gio stopped me.

"Did you like it?" The corner of his mouth turned up; he wiggled his eyebrows.

"It was... alright." I laughed when he gasped as if it was shocking news.

"Well, shit." He turns onto his back.

When I unlocked my phone, the notification wall hit me. One message from Mother, three from Father, two from Matias, one missed call from Father, three Instagram notifications and one text from an unknown number.

No new messages from Kheli... but the unknown number turns out to be Eleanor.

You tell anyone we kissed and I'll chop your tits off.

I snorted and showed Gio the screen. As I typed a reply, he lay his head on my shoulder to see better.

How did you get my number? Shocking but also a bit of stalker behaviour...

We know the same people,

We also live in the same town.. how is that shocking?

It is kinda annoying, isn't it? youre everywehere

magine my misery.

Imagine mine.

Gio rolled his eyes, muttering something about lesbians and how weirdly we text, and snatched my phone to reply himself.

You didn't complain much about me yesterday tho...
