when you close your eyes, you see darkness
soon it turns into a dream
something so scary and heartless
and the pain will be so real, that you'll scream
you open your eyes
the truth hits you so hard
that was not your imagination, your brain didn't make that up.
your mind didn't forget
you opened your eyes
and you saw the truth
and every time you close your eyes, you see no lies.
your dreams were just memories of the real world,
but they weren't dreams.
they were nightmares.
so is the world
the world is burning, its dying
we've been waiting so long for the world to end,
we didn't realize it already did
