I punched Zane in the face, Garroth ran over
"This isn't how you should settle things" he said
"Your right" I said
"Good" he said
"WE'LL SETTLE THIS WITH A DUEL!" I yelled pointing down at Zane
"PERFECT!" He yelled getting really close to me
We ran into our room, I grabbed my pitch black sword out of the closet. He grabbed his black sword with a skull at the bottom of it out of my drawer.
"You need to pay rental for that!" I yelled
He tossed a one dollar bill at me, I grabbed him and ran out of the house and into the backyard. We stood 5 feet away from each other, just the Vlad and Garroth came running out.
"Your always acting like this baby brother and sister" he said
We pointed out sword at him
"Why are the most evil people in the world allowed to have swords?" Vlad asked
Me and Zane ran strait ahead heading for Garroth's arms, but we missed and both face planted.
"It's so cute that you two always do the same thing" Garroth smiled
"No, we don't" we said at the same time
I looked at him, he looked back
"I'll get the duck tape" we said
We ran inside, pushing each other away with our swords. His kept cutting my arm, and mine kept tearing through his clothes. I grabbed the white and black duck tape and gladly taped our mouths.
"Zoey Zane, dinner!" I heard our mom yell up
Me and Zane sat across from each other, I glared at him, he glared back
"What's with the duck tape?" My dad asked
We ripped off the tape
"Because anytime I say something he/she says it at the same time!" We complained
I clenched the fork in my hand, it turn to a pitch black color. Everyone looked at me, including Zane.
"Bwahaha!" He laughed
"Oh my" my mom said
Then, it turned to dust
"Umm....." I said confused
I turned and looked at Zane laughing so hard
"If I can make a fork turn to dust does that mean I can turn Zane into dust?" I asked
"Uuuuuuuuuuuuummmmmmmmmm......" The whole table said
Garroth and Vlad looked at me in horror
Zane grabbed the table cloth, nothing happened
"OH SO SHE GETS REALLY COOL POWERS BUT I DONT?!" He yelled
"Maybe it's because I'm older and more cool" I smirked
"Um, Garte" my mom said "uuuuuh"
"Garroth"he said
Garroth nodded, and stood up. He walked over to Zane and grabbed his hand, and then grabbed mine.
"Get your swords, you might need them" he said
Me and Zane ran into our room and quickly grabbed our swords and ran downstairs, Garroth waited by the door. He lead us outside in the pouring rain, he looked down at us with tears streaming down his face
"Garroth, why are we out here?" I asked
"You two have collected enough evil power that you can't live in a normal village, you might destroy it" he said
"What does that mean? You didn't answer our question" Zane said
Garroth wiped the tears away, but more poured down.
"You can't live here with us, it's too dangerous" he said, trying to smile
Now I was crying
"So, we can't live with you?" I asked
He nodded "yes"
I looked through the window and saw my mom and dad holding back Vlad from breaking it down, I imagine he just got the news. I ran for the door, but Zane grabbed me by my arm and pulled me away.
"STOP IT!" I yelled "NO!"
"It's obvious we're not wanted around" he said
"Zane, you know it's not like that" Garroth said
He yanked me towards the street, I broke free of his grip and ran towards Garroth
"Your lying, I'm gonna wake up tomorrow in my bed and duel Zane" I cried "THIS IS A LIE! YOUR LYING! I WANT TO LIVE WITH YOU GUYS, I WANT YO GROW UP WITH YOU, AND VLAD, AND MOM, AND DAD!"
I squeezed him as hard as I could
"I'm sorry Zoey, I really am" he said, I could hear his voice was full of crying
"NO YOUR NOT, I WANT TO HAVE MORE FAMILY THAN JUST ONE PERSON. PLEASE GARROTH I WONT DESTROY THE VILLAGE!"
Flash forward
"Farewell dear brother"
Flash back
"It's not my decision" he said
Zane grabbed me, and yanked me back
"VLAD! HELP!" I yelled
Vlad was crying and yelling, he ran through the front door and hugged me
"Don't leave me" he whimpered
"I won't" I said "I promise
"Come on" Zane said
I turned around and saw his tear stained face
"If we stay any longer it will hurt more" he said
"GARROTH! VLAD! ILL CONTROL MY POWER, I SWEAR!!" I cried
My throat stung
"C'mon Zoey lest go" Zane said
"I'll control it" I said
Garroth ran over and hugged me
"This hurts more than it hurts you" he said
Garroth gave me his blue sweater, and Vlad gave Zane his green sweater. I put it on, it was warm. I out the hood up
"I'll control it and be back" I said "just you wait"
