Wade's apartment - December 24th - 2250
Tempe slowly began to wake up and found herself in a location she didn't recognize and almost freaked out but then she heard a song that she found rather soothing and elegant, but didn't know what it was or who it was from. She sat up and looked around and saw a school uniform thrown across the foot of the bed that she was laying on and knew the uniform, "So, what are we listening to, Wade?"
"If you don't know this song then save me the trouble of finishing you off." Wade walked into the room drying off his hair and was wearing a pair of sweat pants. He walked over with the towel draped around his shoulder and got real close to her, and it was throwing her off.
"Wade, what the hell are you doing?" She was getting ready to hit him but her body protested and she released a slight hiss from the quick shock of pain. She felt her face heat up when Wade got way too close to her.
"Calm down, I'm checking to see how your wounds are and if they are at least trying to heal properly." He lifted her shirt up enough to check the bandages that were around her ribs, but took a massive slap to his face and backed up, despite the enormous amount of pain she was feeling throughout her entire body, "Fine, I can see that you don't want me checking your injuries." He turned away and was walking away.
"Hey, where are you going? Aren't you wanting to check my injuries?"
"I will, but you are getting all scared with me having my shirt off in my own home so give me a second to get dressed and we'll go for round two in a minute." He stepped out of sight and rubbed his face.
Even coming back from the brink of death, she still has a vicious slap.
Tempe was still sitting in the bed looking at her hands and thought back to the fight that put her in this situation. She thought back trying to remember what they had looked like, but there was nothing she could remember: He was covered from head to toe in black and had no distinct features to be pointed out. Whoever did this to her, knew what the fuck they were doing, and knew not to have their face seen or they knew it was going to be hell to pay. She tried to remember exactly what had happened, but everything to her at the moment was nothing but a big blur, a very big, painful blur. She heard Wade come back and he was wearing his usual tank top and felt a little bit more at ease, until she saw him with bandages in his hand and looking at her in a weird way, "What are you doing?"
"I need to change your bandages. Now turn around and take your shirt off."
"Yeah fucking right, I'm not letting you try and cop a feel on me. Besides, I can do that without your help."
"Tempe, when was the last time you wrapped your own or someone else's bandages?"
"Plenty."
"How many were actually good wraps, and not either so tight no one could breathe or so loose that if they moved the wrong way it would come undone?"
Tempe wanted to make a retort, but she knew he was right, she wasn't any good at being a medic, but she was not wanting to be felt up by someone else at the moment. Before she knew it though, she was spun around and saw that Wade was done and she was as good as now and was impressed, "Holy shit. When did you get good at doing bandages?"
"When I was on assignments on my own before we were started teaming up. Luckily, I never really had to worry about you guys, but it seems things change over time." He chuckled when he heard his door being knocked on and when he opened it he saw Zach being used as a crutch for Jason who was looking like shit, almost as bad as Tempe, "What the fuck is going on? First I find Tempe with the shit beaten out of her and now Jason. Who the hell is getting the jump on them?"
