It Stays Stuck On Me

{Jacobs POV}

Born  and  raised  in  Los  Angeles , California . Raised  right  by  my  parents . I  smiled  as  I  remember  the  good  days . Before  it  happened . Why ?  Why  did  it  have  to  happen ?  Why  did  I  have  to  lose  her . 

I  was  only  11  years  old  when  this  change  took  over  my  life . Still  remember  it  clear  like  it  was  yesterday .

(Flashback)

"Hi  Daddy!!"  I  yelled  walking  in  the  house  to  my  father  who  was  in  the  living  room  sorting  out  some  papers .

"Hey  it's  my  favorite  son!!"  He  yelled  back  with  a  huge  smile  on  his  face  seeing  me .

"Dad  i'm  your  only  son"  I  laughed  as  I  dropped  my  bookbag  on  the  floor . 

He  sighed . "I  know  Jake  it's  just  a  compliment  you  know"  He  rolled  his  eyes  but  kept  the  smile  on  his  face . 

I  laughed . "I  know  dad  and  you're  my  favorite  father  despite  only  having  one  father"  I  stuck  my  tongue  out  at  him  and  laughed .

He  shook  his  head  but  laughed  it  off . "Whatever  but  anyway  how  was  school ?"  He asked .

I  sighed . "It  was  school  nothing  interesting  really . But  we  got  our  test  scores  back . Guess  what  I got ."  I  said  with  a  wide  smile  on  my  face .

He  looked  up  in  thought . "Umm  a  D ?"  He  asked . Seriously ?

"No  dad  an  A!"  I  said  annoyed . This  man  can't  be  serious .

"I'm  just  playing  Jakey  come  here!!"  He  said  happily . Oh  cool  cause  I  was  bout  to  knock  his .. hm .

I  laughed  and  went  to  him  and  he  grabbed  me  into  a  huge  bear  hug  and  ruffled  my  afro  as  I  laughed . "That's  how  the  Perez's  get  DOWNN!!"  He  shouted .

"HAHAHAHAHA  dad  stop"  I laughed .

My  dad  let  me  go  and  had  a  big  smile  on  his  face . "I'm  proud  of  you  son  I  always  am"  He  said  to  me  as  he  kissed  me  on  my  forehead  .

I  smiled . "Thanks  daddy"  I said  hugging  him  again .

Just  then  the  phone  rang  in  the  kitchen  and  I  went  to  answer  it .

"Hello"  I  said  as  I  put  it  to  my  ear .

"HEY  SWEETIE!!"  My  Moms  voice  rang  on  the  other  line .

"Hi  Mommy!"  I  yelled .

"Oh  mi  hijo  congratulations!!"  She  said  happily .

I  got  confused . "On  what ?"  I  asked .

"On  your  test!"  She  said .  O.o  How  the  hell  did  she ..

"Uh  ma  how  did  you-"

"Oh  your  teacher  called  me . She  was  so  excited .  I'm  so  proud  of  you  Jacob!!"  She  exclaimed .

I  smiled . "Thank  you  mama"  I  said .

"You're  welcome  my  love . Now  I  have  to  go . Oh  and  I'll  be  working  late  tonight  sweetie  tell your  dad . But  when  I  come  home  I  promise  we'll  celebrate . I  love  you baby!!"  She  said .
