Christian's POV
I'm alone, in my study, deep in thought. Staring blankly out the floor to ceiling windows, when out of nowhere my whole body is racked with an extreme power surge. It is so powerful, that I am brought down to my knees. The feeling doesn't necessarily hurt, it just completely shocks me.
But, just as quick as it came, the surge is gone. I stay down on my knees for who knows how long. Finally, I snap out of it and get up only to have a sudden urge to go outside, shift, and search for something unknown.
Then, it hit me. I knew EXACTLY "who" I had to search for. Someone who would mean everything to me, someone who would make me whole, my other half..........my Mate.
I run outside into the woods and shift. I take off running at full speed. My large black paws crushing the dried leaves flat against the damp forest floor. My wolfy grin wide, as I think of the completeness my life is soon to have.
Almost as an after thought, I mind link my Beta, Ryker Cain, "I'm leaving, look after the pack. I don't know how long I'll be gone, though I'll expect weekly reports." With that, I block the link not waiting for his reply, still running at full speed.
