Skilyr's POV

I'm currently staring out the car window, watching as we pass tree after tree. I've been stuck in this car for two hours already. My parents thought it would be fun if they took "their little princess", camping in the middle of nowhere as a graduation present.... lucky me, right?!.... wrong.

To pass the time I put my earphones in and start listening to music... I started to think, "I'd much rather be back at home with my two best friends Sterling and Katelan. I hate that they couldn't tag along on this stupid trip."

Then suddenly, I'm torn from my thoughts as my mom leans back from the front seat of our RAV 4 to tap me on the knee, signalling that we have arrived at our destination. "Finally!!! My legs are killing me!" I groan.
My dad just looks back at me rolling his eyes and muttering "at least you weren't the one driving." I laugh and climb out of the car.

My parents and I start to unload the camping equipment and carry it over to this beautiful spot in the woods. When we are finally finished unpacking and setting up the two tents, I tell my parents that I'm going off to explore a little. My mom says " be careful sweetheart, you don't know what kind of animals could be lurking around." While my dad says "Stay close to the camp site, and have fun." I roll my eyes and quickly assure them that I'll be safe and stay close.

I walk a little bit away and gasp, "Wow, It's so beautiful here" I'm standing in a little clearing surrounded by giant trees covered in bright green moss. I look ahead of me and see a sort of natural trail. I start to follow it, as it leads me further into the woods. I follow the trail a bit longer, and it leads me to a beautiful waterfall and a mini lake down below with thousands of moss covered trees surrounding it. I sit at the waters edge and bask in the absolute beauty of nature for a while. I then decide that I better get back so that my parents don't freak out. I stand up and brush off the dried leaves and dirt. With one final look at the amazing scenery, I start walking back to the camp site.

....I've been walking for a bit, back down the trail, when I hear rustling and a twig snap behind me. I spin around abruptly, startled by the sound that had violently disrupted the serene silence of the forest.

That's when I finally noticed a huge black wolf with piercing blue eyes staring right at me about twenty yards away. I didn't scream or do anything for that matter other than stare right back at him. "Why is he so big? He's like 3 times bigger than the average wolf. God, he so beautiful though and those eyes are just, wow. His movements are so graceful," I thought inwordly. That's when I realized...... His movements.... I break out of my reverie and notice that the wolf is now only about five yards away. My eyes grow wide and I start to slowly back away from him, my eyes never leaving his. When I was about ten yards away, I turn tail and run as fast as I can back to the camp site.

I hear loud thudding behind me and quickly glance over my shoulder only to see that the wolf was chasing me and basically was on my heals. I don't know what to do, so I just drop to my stomach and lay as flat as I can with my arms covering my head and neck, eyes closed tightly.. fully expecting the wolf to attack me. But the attack never comes. I look up slowly to see that the wolf had run past me and toward my camp site. I scream bloody murder and scramble up to my feet and run breathlessly to the camp as fast as I could hoping it wouldn't be too late....

I finally arrive at the site and to my absolute horror my parents are laying mangled and bloody on the forest floor, looking lifeless. Blood was everywhere....... I scream and rush to them. I then notice loud growls and I stop in my tracks. I spin around and see the black wolf from earlier twenty yards in front of me facing a large, muddy brown wolf with blood red eyes. It snaps its jaw and lunges for the black wolf, only to have the black wolf counter attack. The black wolf's teeth meeting the brown wolf's neck. In one swift motion, the black wolf ripped the brown wolf's throat out. It's body hitting the forest floor with a loud thud.

Watching in horror as the black wolf turns to look at me with the hair on its muzzle matted down and blood dropping from its large mouth full of very sharp teeth. I stare at him and get a feeling like it's not going to hurt me. Which is surprising to me since I just witnessed it savagely killing the other wolf. I quickly turn back to my parents bodies and kneel down to check on them.

I go to check their pulse with shaky fingers, a feeling of dread already welling up inside of me.... "Oh God, oh God!!! NOOOOO!!! Please noo!!", I scream with a weak voice..... My parents are dead...... DEAD!!!! I start to hyperventilate as my throat begins to close up and tears rush down my face....

......The last thing I see are a pair of piercing blue eyes, belonging to the sexiest man I have ever seen in my entire life.

A.N: Omg! So that's chapter one. How'd y'all like it?! I think it's pretty darn good haha. It was soo hard to write though. Took me about two hours!! Like, Vote, and Comment and I promise I'll try to respond to all of you lovely people!!! Now on to chapter two!!!
