Taylor says nothing. She watches the brunette named Lizzie leave her bar with a funny feeling she can't seem to shake.
That's when she rounds on Cara while the girl wiped down the countertops.
"Cara, stay away from that girl. Something's off about her, I think she's a narc."
"No way! You're off your rocker on this one, Tay. Enough with being paranoid about every little bit alright?"
"I'm telling you, she's a narc. The way she was looking at me and just that vibe she gave off..."
"Or maybe she was looking at you and acting weird because she's into you??"
Taylor scoffs, getting impatient with Cara's brushing off of a legitimate fear. After her last run in with an undercover agent, she wasn't going to let this go so easily.
"Can we please be serious for a minute? Please. She randomly happens to stop by for a smoke outside and—"
"Alright, you know what? I get that you are basically like everyone's mother with the worst case scenario thoughts on everything but honestly! Chill out and quit overthinking."
Cara wanders off to serve a couple their drinks leaving Taylor to her own devices. What was she prepared to do in the event that this operation would be compromised as well? Was she really ready to kill again?
The rest of the night passed without anymore complaint but that did little to calm Taylor's nerves. Retreating to her office behind the bar, that memory of the night she left New York replaying in her head.

The sound of the gunshot still rang in her ears as they ran through the winding tunnels. Taylor was too in shock, refusing to speak even as Don Vito continued to.
"I knew she was too good to be true! Too smart and cunning to be like one of those common puttanas," he mutters angrily, all while keeping a steady pace as they neared the light at the end of the tunnel.
"Are you alright signorina?"
"I, I'm...uhm..."
I just shot someone and saw the light leave her eyes, what am I supposed to feel?
Taylor didn't know how to begin to answer his question at all. Still being in a mixture of shock, fear, guilt, and relief made her clam up.
The old man places a hand on her shoulder, giving what was meant to be a reassuring squeeze.
"Don't worry, it had to be done. Or else we stand to lose everything we have while they leave us to rot in our cells."
She nods her head even if she didn't quite agree. But he was right about one thing: if she failed to pull the trigger, they'd already be on their way to life in prison.
"Don Vito, are you alright? Where is Signora Antonia? We must leave immediately, the plane is waiting," one of his reserve henchmen asks urgently, giving Taylor a confused look.
"Antonia Garrn is a traitor and now she is no more."
The surprise written on his men's faces is plain to see. Nevertheless, they fall out of their trance and hurry to get both the Don and Taylor to a safe house overseas.
