"What'd you get Danika?"
I reached my hand into my back pocket and pulled out the gold necklace I'd bought my girlfriend and showed George. He laughed, "Dude, you haven't even wrapped it." I shrugged and shoved it back in my pocket. "I'm not the romantic type, you know that." I winked back at him. We were just getting ready to go to Danika's party and by getting ready I mean we were having a few pre drinks so we could get through the night of mostly everyone from our school half dressed taking photos and videos of one of the years biggest events. Everyone adored her and I didn't blame them, she was the most gorgeous girl in school, cheer captain, my girlfriend, richest person in town and even president of her own fan club so it was impossible to not love her although there were a lot of downsides to her.
"Last shot." George called before we both downed another vodka. We grabbed our jackets and headed outside to our bikes.
"Meet you there Matty boy." George sang as he sped off on his motorbike, we were tipsy but we thought we were fine; as we were always.
Walking into the doors of the three storey mansion everyone cheered and immediately Danika was by my side wearing the super tight short red dress she'd snap chatted me a picture of earlier that day.
"How do I look?"
"I could say beautiful but it wouldn't fit in with the type of outfit you're wearing" I said dryly "Happy birthday sexy" I winked before kissing her on the cheek and handing her the necklace of bought for her.
"It's stunning" her eyes lite up.
A few hours into the party and I was wasted, well everyone was wasted I was sitting on the couch playing NBA or so attempting to when Jenna who happened to be Danika's best friend called out for it to be cake time. I knew my cue now, all smiles and kisses for photos but first I had to find Danika which is hard when I'm drunk and all I'm thinking about was the last hoop I missed in that NBA game. I laughed at myself for such inconvenient thoughts. After checking the jacuzzi with naked people, the basement where people were attempting table tennis, the kitchen where all the drinks were, the living room and the second floor where everyone was  dancing; I was convinced she'd be passed out in her room after the drinks she'd had. So I stumbled past everyone up to the third floor where her room was. When I got to her room my stomach dropped as I heard Danika talking. "He hasn't known till now so he doesn't need to know ever." After these words I quickly opened the door to find the very pleasant sight of her in her lingerie with George in bed. George. My best mate George.
"You disgust me, both of you."
As I left her house I was followed by her desperate begs for forgiveness and whispered excuses but I didn't care I was furious to be played in such a way I just had to get out of there. Hopping onto my bike I sped off. 100...110...120. How could someone stoop so low as to do this, what'd I do to deserve such betrayal?. My girlfriend of 2 years and my best mate of 6 years. How long had it been going on for?.130...140. By now the cold wind burned into my face but it didn't really matter, such awful people, such heartless people. I'll never forgive them, never. For the second time tonight my heart dropped as I heard police sirens coming behind me.
"Shit." I sneered, I don't need this right now. Instead of slowing down I found myself stupidly speeding up, that'd be the alcohols decision but I didn't care I had a motorbike and they have a car so I'd outrun them any way. I turned through streets I'd never been through before and intersections that were dead, I sped past cars only merely missing them and the only thing I thought of was what they'd done to me. I didn't see anything after that, I felt everything then nothing at all.
