So this is my first time writing a fanfic. I'm not much of a writer but I love writing! Sorry in advance for typos. Vote this chapter if Harry is your sunshine.

Insanity

CHAPTER 1:

Falling. I'm falling into a deep ditch where my nightmares exist. A place I cannot describe. The fact is, everything seems so real, yet when I wake, it all goes away. These walls are closing in on me any I have no escape. The suffocating room is painfully, slowly, killing me. I take my last breath and-

"MIKA!" Harry grasped my shoulders in his large hand and shook me. "Are you okay?!"

I felt sweat streaming down my temples to my cheeks. My heart was pounding a million a minute.

"What happened" I compose myself and question what was happening.

"You were having another nightmare. But it was worse this time, Mika, I-I didn't know what was happening."

"Harry, what are you talking about?!"

"You were shaking and screaming. Your eyes, they looked so, so pale. So lifeless..." Tears built up in his beautiful green eyes.

"I'm okay Harry, I'm here." For some reason this has been a recurring ordeal, but from Harry's perspective, it was much worse than usual. He was hugging me extra tight. My hands ran through his brown hair and my fingers clasped his curly locks. It was my way of comforting him. That was one of the most adorable things about him. He cared so much for me. He'd do anything to ease my discomfort.

"I can't stand to watch you go through that pain, we need to find out why this is happening. His voice sounded buffered, his nose was red, and his eyes were glossy and dark green. His beautiful orbs had a way of letting me know his state of mind, this occasion being scared.

"Hey, how about we go for a walk down to Red's?"

"Sounds perfect, love."

I gave him a reassuring smile, grabbed my coat, slipped on my vans, and headed out the front door, hand in hand with the person I love. The crisp autumn air smacked my face which made me cringe a bit. New York City can get bitter at times, but we've both gotten used to it.

"So Mika, I have a little gift for you," Harry said while displaying that breathtaking smile of his.

"Haz, you don't need to get me anything."

"I know but it made me think of you."

We opened the café's doorwhich sounded the adorable bell. We sat at the counter, in the two seats we always do. Red's is never a crowded place. Most of its custormers are usually Ol' Sam, the little old man who comes in around the time we do and reads his newspaper, Dan, the average businessman, and some other regulars. It was rare if we see any new faces in there.

"So yesterday I went downtown with Gemma to get my mother a birthday gift and right outside the market, I saw one of those cute little toy dispensers."

God he was so adorable. He could never resist those damn toys. His model-like appearance says age 20 yet his quirky personality says 4.

"So of course I put my 25 cents in and I got a dog tag."

"That's wonderful, Harry." I giggled.

He sensed my sarcasm and continued.

"I wasn't finished! When we got back to the apartment I engraved something on there." He handed me the chained dog tag that read:

"My hands, Your hands, Tied up like two ships, Drifting, Weightless."

My heart fluttered and my cheeks turned an awkward rosy color, which lit up his eyes to a soft light, green.
