I close my eyes and waited, I heard people whispering and that voice sounded familiar but it couldn't be who I thought it was
"Open your eyes sweetheart" A very familiar voice said I opened my eyes slowly I suddenly felt sick like my heart has been wripped out and I couldn't find it
"What are you doing here" I asked
"I'm back" she said
"What the fuck you mean "iM bAcK" the fuck you died on my 7th birthday people don't just come back from the fucking dead nigga" I said feeling the anger rising in me but I pushed it back
"I know and im sorry but I had to, I had to protect you I couldn't have them coming after you too" she said reaching her hand out to touch my face I slapped her hand away and stood up I was highly pissed so I just paced around the room a little bit trying to think this whole dumbass situation through

I didn't know Alex would be this mad I thought she would be glad her mom wasn't dead
"Who the hell do you think you are coming here talkin bout "I'm back" BULLSHIT I don't know why you came back but you can go right back to wherever you came from because I have spent 9 years without you and I damn sure don't need you now" Alex screamed at her mother with so much hatred and hurt in her eyes
"I know what I did was wrong but I did it for you I didn't want you to get hurt so I had to fake my death I payed the doctors to diagnose me dead" Mrs.Janice (Alex's mom) said
"I don't care you have no idea what I've went through to damn husband my so called 'dad' use to beat me because he blamed me for your death I had to move out I had to change my name did you know that he threatened to find me and kill me, thanks for all the protection O WAIT YOU AINT PROTECT SHIT BECAUSE THE BASTARD FOUND ME" Alex yelled pacing back and forth in the living room
"GET OUT AND NEVER COME BACK AGAIN I don't even know who to trust anymore but I certainly know NOT TO TRUST YOU" She continued, throwing a lamp at her mother making everyone duck and look at her crazy her eyes were starting to turn black before they could I told Janice to go in the kitchen and let her cool off some
Alex's P.O.V
I cannot believe she just decided to show up after 9 years and expected everything to just go back to normal HELL NAHH she hurt me but im done crying now it's somebody else's turn to cry I walked into the kitchen where my 'momma' was
"What the hell were you trying to protect me from" I said nonchantly
"I use to be in the drug game and you'r father did too and we had beef with another gang so we bombed their trap house with everyone in there but we didn't know they were out looking for us so pretty much we blew up the trap house with nobody inside they found out that we were the ones who did it and started looking for us a couple of weeks after that we found out I was pregnant so me and your daddy moved to atlanta but they found out where we were and threatened to kill us so when I had the baby I had to put it up for adoption so they wouldn't find it and kill it to get to us-"she said but I cut her off
"Wait I didn't get put in a foster home dad took me home" I explained to her
"Shelby I-"I cut her off again
"It's Alex I had to change my name" I said
"Sorry, Alex I have to tell you...before I got pregnant with you I was pregnant with your older brother Jamal" she said
