A new chapter is about to begin in my life. New city, new me. Leave everything behind and use this fresh start to your advantage. Nobody knows who I am, and were. They will only know the me right now. I am no longer the small town innocent Elena, I can't be.
I walk into my new school, Smithson Brown High. New faces turned their attention to me. (Out fit below)
Is it my outfit? Does my hair look flat? Is my makeup not blended well enough? I shook it off walking towards the school office to receive my schedule and locker. As I walk through the door, two guys who looked like they were 13 whistled at me. I ignore them rolling my eyes. I grab my information and head out to find my locker, number 240. 237..238..239..240! I open up my locker placing my books on the shelf and hanging my purse on the hook.
"Cute outfit." I look to my right and see a girl. She is the same height as me, but has shoulder length blonde hair, and grey eyes. She has beautifully straight white teeth and somewhat tanned skin. In other words, she is gorgeous.
"Oh thank you! You are very pretty!" I return the compliment.
"What grade are you in?" She asks putting books in her locker, which is right beside mine.
"Eleven, you?"
"Me too! Are you new?" She asks shutting her locker.
"Yes, is it obvious?" I ask nervously also shutting my locker.
"No hun! It is just that I don't recognize you." She laughs.
"Thanks, I think."
"No worries, what's your name?"
"I am Elena."
"That's a really pretty name! My name is Tessa Anderson."
" Nice to meet you, Tessa."
"Likewise.What is your first class?"
I look at my paper. " Math with Mrs. Taylor."
"I have him too! Follow me!" She exclaims grabbing my hand and literally pulling me towards our class. We come to a door with the number 1890 on it. We walk in to a full classroom, but everyone sitting in their 'groups' of people. Right away I could tell who the smart people were, the skids, the emo kids, and the popular guys. When the door shuts all eyes look over at me and Tessa.
"Students we have a new student. Miss Elena Falls. Tessa can you take her to a seat please?" Mr. Taylor introduced me. I heard whispers from the people in the room, though I couldn't make out what they were saying exactly. Tessa lead me to a seat in the middle of a row that was closest to the windows. She took the seat next to me and turned to me.
"So why did you move here?" She asked giving me all of her attention.
"My dad got transferred here, he is in the military."
"That is so cool! Is your dad like jacked?"
"Yeah kinda. But he is never home."
"Is he deployed right now?"
"No but he might be soon though, maybe Afghanistan."
Her eyes softened and filled with sadness. "Isn't it really bad over there right now?"
"Yeah, that's why they need my dad over there." I say looking away taking a deep breath. A hand is placed on my knee, I look up to see Tessa's hand.
"He will come home don't worry." She said smiling.
The bell goes, and the teacher makes his way to the front of the class. I still hear a group of guys behind me still talking. I ignore them and turn my attention to the teacher at the front of the room. He is wearing a black suit, he kinda looks like a lawyer. Especially because of his red tie.
"Boys please, class has started." Mr.Taylor's attention is drawn behind me. I look behind me and I am immediately met with beautiful chocolate brown orbs, staring into my bright blue eyes. The guy smirks at me and winks. I quickly turn around, my heart racing.
"Looks like the new girl is shy." I am assuming the same guy that winked at me said. Anger takes over me as I remember last time someone said that about me. I said I would come to this school as a new person, so that's what I am going to do.
"Oh I'm not shy, I just don't talk to guys who's ego is bigger than what's in their pants." I say smirking, everyone in the class going 'ooooh'.
"Wouldn't you like to know what's in my pants?" He replied smirking.
"Oh please, there's probably nothing down there. Well, at least nothing worth my while." After I said that the class exploded.
"Students! Enough! Miss Falls and Mr Bieber you both have detention today after school." A few snickers are let out across the room. I turn around and glare at 'Mr.Bieber'. He notices and just sticks his tounge out.
Great, first day and I already have detention. All because of a stupid guy who thinks he's everything. After class me and Tessa walk to our lockers together. "Wow what was that between you and Justin?" She asks winking.
"Oh gosh it was nothing. Just another teenage guy trying to impress a girl with something he doesn't have." School quickly comes to an end. I make my way to the detention room. I walk in and take a seat in the very back corner. I pull out a notebook and pen and start doodling a random flower. A smell of cologne fills my nose as someone takes a seat right beside me. I don't bother looking up and continue drawing.
"You can't even say hi to me?" I look over and see 'Mr.Bieber' or as Tessa called him earlier, Justin in the seat beside me.
"Nope, don't have time." He chuckles.
"It's detention, you have a whole hour." I ignore him and roll my eyes. Ten minuteso pass and I am already bored out of my mind. I glance over at Justin and see him already staring at me. I look away and pretend to be doing something in my notebook. Though I could still feel his eyes on me. I ignored him for the whole hour zoning off in my own world. When the bell rings I practically run out of the school into my vehicle and drive off.
