I came back from the gym wearing a yellow shirt and a white 3 quarter. I headed to Maama's chamber, I met a servant on the way and I asked him to bring a glass of water for me.
The house looks pretty busy. Zayed and Napheesa's wedding is around the corner.
It's going to take place at the same time.
Napheesa will be marrying her cousin brother, zayed will be marrying Maryam.
I met Maama and napheesa preparing for the wedding, Napheesa writing things down on a jotter.
I salaamed them and sat on one of the chairs." how many days are you celebrating?" I directed the question at Napheesa.
"a week" she replied shortly, as she kept on writing.
"maama had orgarnized a mother's eve that will take place at the guest house's event hall"
"Kaman a kanku aka para biki. U guys love ceremonies" I rolled my eyes, speaking more to myself.
Maama heared me and commented... "naka dae na nan zuwa, se kayi yanda kake so"
Aah that reminds me!
"maama?" I called
" I haven't met the girl yet" I said referring to my wife to be. It feels weird calling her that.
Am getting curious out of nowhere."she was here on your birthday, u two weren't able to meet unfortunately. Yanzun se abinda babanka yace. Kasan policy din mu ba'a zuwa zance. Ga Napheesa nan. She met Haphiz once, and they are now getting married."
"what's her name tor?" I asked further
"Fatma Amna"
"amna?" I asked trying to remember where I knew that name.
it sounds familiar. But I can't seem to recall.
.Amna
Lying flat on my bed, reading a novel, MEANT TO BE. Well, not reading it really... holding it actually.
I called Haleema a while ago, we chatted for a while before umma sent for me.
Someone hit me squarely on the back, none other than that chipmunk; Fareeda.
"u scared me" I said, annoyed.
"Well I was talking and you seem to be totally in planet Uranus"
I rolled my eyes at her."so, thinking about him?" she asked with raised brows "I mean your Ranboor"
"Hey! Its RANBEER"
"Whatever, you better keep your mind off him. Focus on what your parents want"
"seriously, the guy is just.. idk, he's just perfect. With all his rudeness"
I sighted dreamily.
Fareeda looked surprised, she knew better than anyone I don't talk about guys this way. She smiled in astonishment.
I then remembered the video I took the other day, I showed it to Fareeda.
Oh girl! She was shocked by his features. She couldn't believe he could speak Hausa.
"amna, despite all this. You have to forgret about him"
"Allah bazan yard aba" I said hitting my hand on the bed.
"fine, kije kiyi yanda kike so! Do as you wish" she was practically annoyed.
She sprang up to leave but I quickly grabbed her hand.'I'm sorry'
