Mr.McLaggen, apparently my new teacher, showed me around the school. Mystic Falls was a big school, full of different classrooms, lessons, teachers and students. The building's walls were painted purple, the floors were covered with a red carpet and big chandeliers hanged from the ceiling. Everything looked extremely fancy.

"I don't get it, why am I here? I should be in my home, or at my normal school, definetly not here" I blurted out.

"Listen, I know you're very confused, now I'm taking you to the headmaster's office, he'll explain everything and you'll be fine" Mr.McLaggen explained as he layed a comforting hand on my shoulder, which only managed to send chills down my spine.

We stopped before a big oak door, in the middle, a golden sign read "Headmaster". Mr.McLaggen smiled at me one last time before knocking on the door and letting me in.

Inside stood a man in his fifties, he was thin, tall, with greying hair and big green eyes. An earth bender.

"Hello Alice, I'm Mystic Falls headmaster, John King" he smiled "Please take a seat"

"Well Alice, I hope your teacher has already told you where you are" I nodded and he continued "Well, to explain the rest to you, I must tell you an old story" He sat down behind his desk and breathed deeply

"The elementals have been ruling this dimension for centuries, everything was amazing and peaceful at first. But, as you might know, the elementals weren't the only creatures living here. There was another kind which looked like elementals, but instead, they couldn't produce any magic and they had pure black eyes. At first they both lived in peace, until they grew jealous of the elementals and rivalry broke out. Now a days, you can say, we are at war. We have tried to stop this many times, but they just wish to destroy us all and rule this dimension for themselves. It is said that they also wish to rule Earth and make humans their slaves."

"What do they call this people who can't produce magic?" I asked, eager to know more.

The headmaster sighed, "The Destroyers".

"Right" I mumbled "And what does all of this have to do with me?"

"Last night you arrived home to find your parents dead"

I stared at him. Did he knew what had happened?

He continued.

"Their cause of death? Murdered. By whom? A group of destroyers. Why? Because you were their aim, they were there to kill you"

"Me?! Why would they want to kill me?! If they didn't find me why did they kill my parents?!" I grew more and more desperate.

"Calm down, Alice" Mr.King sighed again "I'm telling you too much for one day, but you must know the truth. Those people, they weren't your real parents, you're real parents were both elementals, great water benders. They gave you up to protect you from the dangers of this world, they took you to Earth, somewhere where they would never find you. But they did, and that's why we immediatly brought you here, you must learn to use magic, you must learn to fight"

As the words sunk in, my heartbeat raced. No. This wasn't true. What the hell was this guy talking about?! I couldn't stand it anymore, I got up and ran out of the office, I didn't care about pushing other students, or at the glares from the teachers, or the shouting behind me, I was getting out of this madness. Right. Now. My head was spinning, I saw a forest growing nearer and nearer, and all I could hear in the background...

"Alice!"

~~~~~~~~~
When I woke up, I could see the familiar blinding light above me. I groaned. I just wanted to go home.
"Alice?"
I got out of my bed and went through the nursery door, not bothering to look at my speaker, whom I already knew it was Mr.McLaggen.
"Please, speak to me, I know you've been through a lot, and it would also be madness for anyone, but you have to believe us"
I continued ignoring him and made my way out of the building, not bothering to look back.
"Alice stop!" he shouted and grabbed my hand, forcing me to face him. I gasped at the spark I felt at our touch and I couldn't stop myself from staring at his breath-taking eyes. We stared at eachother for a few more seconds until an ear-piercing scream ran through the campus.
"That way!" Mr.McLaggen shouted and we ran into the direction of the forest. Students and teachers were already running towards the forest and we all crowded around a girl's body which layed on her stomach. Mr.King made his way through the crowd and kneeled beside her before rolling her over, and we saw her eyes were white, lifeless. In her hand layed a paper which in awful black handwriting read the two words which almost made my heart stop.
"For Alice"
