Recap from last chapter cuz I'm lazy and don't write:
"Honey. I just had a call from your father's work. He is coming home early. With..."

"He is coming home early. With a few new friends. Your father is meeting us at the airport. We should start packing to go home also. Make sure you leave the hotel room clean." Mom advised.

"Fine..." I muttered, rolling my eyes and beginning to tidy up my hotel room. I wonder what Mom means by 'a few new friends'. Guess I'll have to find out later. Maybe Mom and Dad are adopting another child. I stopped cleaning and shivered. I don't want a sibling. Babysitting is hard enough. I'd never want a full-time job...

two hours later•

"Honey!!! Let's go!!! Dad's waiting for us at the airport!" Mom called to me.

"Coming!!!" I replied.

Grabbing my phone and shoving it in my bag, I grabbed my carry-on bag, my every-day bag, and my suitcase.

I pulled the door open and rushed through the hallway to the elevator. Pushing the button, I waited for the elevator to come. Mom hurried over just as the doors opened. We walked in and pushed the 'Lobby' button.

Once we were out of the elevator, we walked to the front desk to sign out. Mom handed me the keys and told me to load out stuff into the rental car.  I put my bag and backpack in the front seat and my suitcase in the trunk. I walked inside and grabbed my mom's bags and suitcase. I rolled the suitcase to the car, and put her bags in the backseat. I closed the backseat door and walked back to the trunk. I lifted her suitcase into the trunk and closed the door.

Mom came out and I handed her the keys. She opens the driver's side door and gets in. I do the same, but on the passenger side.

•time skip to the airport•

"Daddy!!!" I exclaimed. I unbuckled my seatbelt and hopped out of the car. I ran to my father and hugged him.

Woof! Woof!  I hear barking and look around. By my dad's feet were two dogs. I knelt down and started to pet them. I looked up at Mom and Dad.

"Are these the new friends?" I asked curiously.

They nodded and I jumped up. I hugged both of them and looked at Dad.

"Do they have names?" I asked. When he shook his head, I continued. "Can I name them?"

"If you want. This one," he said, pointing to the bigger one, "has a fiery personality."

"Hmmmm.... Magma. His name should be Magma. After his personally." I suggested.

"Good idea!" Dad agreed. "But we should head in. We need to cheek in."

We headed in and walked to the counter. I was holding the little dog in my arms and holding Magma's leash.

"Hmmm... what should I name you..." I muttered, half to myself, half to the dog in my arms. "Well, you are a female... sooo you can be.....uhhhhhh.....Lola? No... Uhhh... Heather... Hmmm... I like that... I think I'll name you Heather."

"The dogs will have to go under the plane. Do you have crates for them?" The lady asked us.

I looked at my parents and they shook their heads. I turned to the lady and replied, "We do not. Are you sure they can't come in the cabin with us?"
