Quite a few people have found issues with this site, whether it is because it's a bug, an unfair rule or just something that doesn't work too well. So here it is, a list of complaints and problems.
Reading your own work.
When you upload a new chapter, through a computer/laptop, it will automatically open the published chapter up, counting as a read. For this reason, I tend to only upload through my phone, which takes time and is not always easy to do.
If you then reply to a comment, or use your uploaded version of your story rather than your editable version to read through and check for mistakes, it adds another read.
Yes, I do understand this does not effect your own rating and you should 'write for yourself not for the reads.' But, I like to have a true read/vote/comment count of my story so I can see whether what I'm writing is any good or not. Face it, no one writes for themselves and posts it ONLINE. I, and many others, write to find people who enjoy their story.
It should not count if you read your own work. I, personally, would rather have 1 true read than ten fake ones from where I've clicked on my story for whatever reason. It really bugs me.
