I brushed my hair back and pulled it up into a pony tail; making sure I was ready for today's big meeting at the dinner table. Someone knocked at the bedroom door, making me jump up a little and swing my body around towards the door. It better not be that guy again. He always comes to my door and bothers me. I fixed my white dress and opened it to see Katniss and Steve standing there. "Ready?" She asked. I nodded and followed her to the dinner table, where half of the people gathered around talking.
"Listen up everyone." The voices stopped as people turned slowly towards Katniss. "There are two new allies named Sarah and Steve. So everyone go around and tell your names and what district you are in and a little bit about yourselves" A young boy, about my age stood up. "My names Finn. I'm sixteen years old, have no family. And I'm from district three." He seemed to be nice. Wearing dark blue pants and a bright blue shirt, with blond hair and gorgeous bright blue eyes.
A blue cat, how odd! stood up. Wearing a skin colored like sweater and gray pants "My name is Gumball, I'm in district fourteen, and I live with my parents, sister and brother. I came here to win for my family and for my freedom."
Thirteen more people stood up and said their names to me, but one man walked in looking at everyone. He was dark green, with a shell on his back. He was buffed up. A red bandanna went across his face, half way with two holes for his light green eyes. "What have I missed Katniss?" He spoke.
"Raphael, sit down and tell a little bit about yourself to Sarah and Steve here!" Katniss looked at Raph who grabbed a piece of bread from the middle of the table. He stared at the two of us; examining our looks and facile expressions.
"Oh, oh. My name is Raphael and (Chewing) I'm from district two. I love to kick butt (Chewing) I have three brothers and a sensei who teaches us to fight.(Swallowing his food) If you get on my bad side, I'll kick you so hard that you won't be able to sit down for a month." Raph chewed on his food once again.
"Okay Raphael, you can stop. Well you guy's, let's get to training. First thing in the morning too." Steve grabbed my hand and lead me to our rooms. Gumball and Finn followed from behind. We stopped and walked in, looking at the two. "We thought it would be kind of us to talk?" Gumball said.
"No thank's, Steve and I have something to do. And that's to sleep." I closed the door slowly. Man, it's been a long day and I'm already bummed out. Steve walked up to me, putting his hand against the wall, making me squeal a little. He laughed and kissed my cheek. I only blushed a little. I lied in bed, thinking of what could happen to us in that arena. But thoughts swarm around, making me shake just a little.
'Will I make it through this battle? I wonder how people go through this stuff everyday. Who will win?'
