The Hunger Games》Ending It All Now! (Completed)

~The Hunger Games~ 4 We Lost One

Everyone moaned as their bodies ached in pain from running. No where to hide, a tracking device inside of us, and trying to survive a game that seemed like war. It's a living nightmare. Raph, Steve and I all sat down, trying to catch our breaths. Nothing more then a few scratches, heavy breathing, and hardly any water left for each of us to drink. Steve shifted, trying to find a comfortable spot to stay in, but instead scooted over towards me. It was a bit uncomfortable. Even though I'm still a minor and growing up to get married and have a few kids was my dream. But life right now for kids is not a good idea, as they too would go through the same fate.

Our feet carried us to the waterfall,  where we would meet Katniss and Gumball. We stopped, taking a sip from the water, and sat down for another break. Raph turned, sipping up what was left in his hands. "I'll watch for intruders." He spoke, pushing his week body up. He slowly moved over watching his surroundings; his knife out, his left hand back as his right leg lean our and left leg back. Listening to the surroundings once more before hearing a bush or tree's leaves move. He spun around to feel a hand on his shoulder, but instead found a branch, cutting it off. Then back around, this time grabbing a hand and panicking it. A scream filled the air then a sound of pain came afterwards. Raph looked down to fined Finn, lying their on the floor. No cuts, no wounds. Just out of breath.

"God dammit Finn. Don't do that or I would have killed you." Raph's voice lifted as he set the knife back into his pocket.

"Sorry about that." Sam announced,  putting his knife back in his pocket also. "We also thought you were one of them."

"I thought you two were suppose to be back at the starting line?" Raph hissed, crossing his hands. Well, maybe they wanted company!

"What were we suppose to do when a group of people came by to take our territory. They tried to fight us, but we left, just in time before they threw up their swords and hollered like screaming banshees." Sam smiled. "Well, lets go and meet Katniss up at the waterfall before nightfall sets." We all nodded, starting our way up the waterfall before dusk fell.

We're almost there, just a few more steps and we can finally make it up to the top. But something wasn't right. I turned just tl find three men running out with bows in their hands and the arrow's came flying by, almost hitting me in the hand. Raph yelled "GET GOING, START CLIMBING." Katniss looked down, hearing the commotion.  She too, pulled out her bow and shot fire at one of the men, hitting him in his chest. Raph finally reached the top, holding a hand out for someone to grab. Another arrow came by my hand, this time, almost hitting me. I screamed, slipping. I caught my hand on another rock, but not that far from the previous one that I slipped on. I'm the last one to enter the waterfall,  but I couldn't do it. My hands and feet ached in pain from walking all day.

"Katniss, there's two more men coming from that side." Gumball hollered as he watched her take them out so easily.  Now only two more left. "Well, what are you waiting for." She shot it, hitting one of the men in the arm. Gumballs eyes shot open to find an arrow leading right towards Katniss. He reacted quickly, pushing her to the side as the arrow penetrated it's way inside his stomach. Katniss only watch in horror as one of her beloved friend's screamed in pain, leaking out blood and shivering at the sight and pain. She pushed her way towards Gumball, holding down on his stomach, watching her friend bleed out. He grabbed her arm as he tried to speak, but nothing seemed to work as his head slowly fell back on a hard, sharp rock. His eye's wide open as the poison had already reached his heart. Everyone watched in horror, knowing that their friend had just passed away.

"I'LL KILL THEM," Katniss yelled picking up her bow screaming. "COME OUT, COME OUT AND FIGHT LIKE A MAN!" Finn looked at Gumball with his hands on his friends chest, trying to stop the blood from pouring out "WHY, WHY THIS...WAY. Why" he knew his friend was already dead; closing his eyes so peace would lie upon him.

Gumball's family looked at there dead son's body. Gumball's mother and Father looked at Darwin and Gumball's little sister as they cried. Finn got up, looking at Katniss who screamed with tears; then over at me, who watched in horror to see the sight of men and women dying.

"I'll take the last one." Finn said, grabbing Katniss bow and an arrow.

"You're just a boy kid? You'll never kill me" The man smiled up at Finn. "What ya gonna do! stab me in the heart!" He laughed. But stopped to feel pain go through his chest. Finn had already shot the arrow in him, making him screaming.

"AND THAT IS FOR KILLING OUR FRIEND" Finn looked at him, then looked at Raph and Katniss; weeping over Gumball's death as they held him in their hands. Everyone gathered around, watched as the strange helicopters picked up Gumballs body to take him back home to his family. "Goodbye, old friend." Finn paused to feel movement in his pocket. He slowly opened it to find Jake, his companion, lying their sound asleep.

"God dammit Jake." Finn yelled, staring at his half older brother who walked up to Katniss, stretching back into normal form. He just stared at his friend's body with his hand waving goodbye. "See you soon my Friend." Finn walked up to Jake, asking him questions on how he got here and why wasn't he back at home watching TV or being lazy as he normally does. But he's also their for Finn when he's in need of a side kick. 

"I just got to know him, and now he's gone. This is a sick game. A sick and twisted game Snow." Finn looked up in the sky. "You hear me! SICK AND TWISTED GAME!" He stopped as I grabbed him, pulling him close to me to feel the same pain as he had felt. I to had got to know Gumball. And now that he's out of our sight, gone like he left without any trace or, just disappeared; never to exists. My grip tightened as tears started to fall down the side of my cheek. 

"Okay people. It's time to find a place to hide before were spotted again." Katniss arm swooped down with her bow in her hand as she pointed towards a hiding spot with her other hand while she stopped climbing a tree to to keep watch.
