~Cory~
I'm depressed.
At first no one noticed. It wasn't a big deal and it was easy do hide it.
But then it got worse, and since I didn't want anyone to find out,
I decided to take a break . A break from my friends. A break from playing games.
I just wanted to be alone for awhile. But of course my friends are too great.
They knew it wasn't like me to just stop.
They called me and asked how I was feeling and I just said.
"Don't worry, I'm Fine!"
Most of My friends are friends online and they live far away,
so they can't do anything but believe me. But then there's Frisk.
My best friend since childhood. She called me and asked if I wanted to play a new game with her, and when I told her about my break. She immediately knew something was wrong. I didn't want to worry anyone, especially not Frisk, so I just told her I wanted to take a pause from the games for awhile. Frisk knows me too well though.
She knows I live for games and hate taking breaks,
so she wanted to come over to make sure everything really was okay.
I panicked. If Frisk saw me she'd definitely know something was wrong.
I didn't want anyone to get involved with my problems.
That's when I found the camera mask. When Frisk came over I wore it.
Of course she thought it looked stupid and wanted me to take it off but I refused.
She kept visiting me, and she always tried to convince me to take it off but I never did. She got really annoyed with it, and she even tried to rip it of my face one time, but before she even could touch it I pushed her away and made her fall to the floor. I felt really bad and asked her If she was alright and then she started crying.
"No, I'm not alright! You've been acting so strange and I can clearly tell
something is wrong but you won't tell me!" She replied.
She was crying and it was my fault. It was awful, I just didn't want anyone to worry about me. Instead I made my best friend cry. I sat down beside her.
"Frisk, I'm fine..really!"
"Then why are you wearing that stupid mask?" She replied.
"Stupid? I think it's cool! Besides haven't you seen my YouTube channel?
It's the same mask! " I knew she wasn't completely convinced so I moved the mask so it only covered half of my face. "See..I am fine." I then but it back on before she could tell I was lying. I felt really bad for lying to her but I had no choice. A couple of weeks went by, and I was feeling worse. Way worse. One day it was so bad I almost did something really stupid.
~Frisk~
I woke up by my phone vibrating. It's a message, from Cory.
"Frisk. I've been lying to you. I've been lying for weeks! I'm not fine, I will never be fine. I can't take it anymore! I'm sorry." it read..
I read the message over and over again while tears formed in my eyes.
"Cory it's okay! Just please don't do anything stupid! Where are you right now?!" I replied. Five minutes goes by and no answer. I started to panic.
"N-no, no..c-come on answer!!" I stuttered.
I searched for Cory's name through my contacts. I called him, but no answer.
~Cory~
She called three times. I didn't answer. I'm horrible friend,
and I don't deserve Frisk. Two minutes later I got another message from her.
"Cory, Where are you?! Please answer me!" it Said.
"Mountain" I replied. She deserved to know. I've been terrible to her.
