Lloyd x Reader - The Mistletoe

Christmas was just around the corner in Ninjago. You guessed you could say you were friends with the ninjas and had hung out with them several times (Lloyd was the cutest...), so when they had walked past your house and seen how beautifully decorated it was, they were quick to invite you over to their place so you could help with the decorating.

And here you were, working hard on hanging up festive decorations in the ninjas' home. You had already finished setting up colorful light displays on the place's exterior, and the ninjas had been very pleased with your work. You had to admit it was very tiring, but you were glad to help your buddies.

While you were sprucing up the walls, the ninjas were in the corner of the room decorating their Christmas tree. The adorned it with sparkly tinsel, baubles in all different colors and sizes, and various other ornaments. You heard them laughing among themselves, and the sound of it warmed your heart.

You glanced over at Lloyd and couldn't help but to smile to yourself when you spotted his blonde hair and sweet face. You knew you were perfectly capable of decorating the wall yourself, but you were desperate for some interaction with your favorite ninja, so you thought of how you could get his attention.

You got up on your stepladder. "Hey Lloyd, think you can give me those?" you called, pointing at some unused snowflake wall stickers on the floor.

"Sure!" Lloyd responded in his cute voice, making his away over to you and picking up the wall sticker sheets. He held them up to you and said, "Here you go, [Y/N]."

"Thanks," you said, taking the stickers in your hands. You felt your face flush at the sight of Lloyd's lopsided smile. While Lloyd went back to join the others in decorating the tree, you kept yourself busy sticking the snowflake stickers on the wall to give the impression that it was snowing.

When you were done, you exhaled from exhaustion and looked over at the Christmas tree. It looked utterly beautiful, but there was just one thing missing...

"We still need to put the star on top!" Nya pointed out, gesturing towards the rather bare tip of the tree.

Cole walked over to the stepladder you had been using before and picked it up. "We can use this to reach the top," he stated, setting it down in front of the tree.

Jay grabbed the star topper out of its box and climbed up the step ladder. But to his dismay, he still couldn't manage to reach high enough to put it on the top of the tree. You giggled as you watched the scene unfold, and Jay grunted with frustration.

"This stepladder is  stupid! It's too short!" Jay whined, jumping down.

Kai just laughed and took the star from Jay. He stepped up the stepladder and easily placed the star on top. "You're the one who's too short," he teased.

"Well, at least the tree is done now! It looks splendid!" you marveled.

Zane eyed the snowflake stickers you had stuck on the wall. "And your decorations are very... cool," he remarked. Everyone groaned at his pun. For some reason, you wished Lloyd would have complimented your work instead.

"There's still one more thing we need to put up," Jay said slyly, and out of his pocket he pulled some kind of plant.

"What is that for?" Zane asked in confusion.

"It's a mistletoe," Lloyd answered, unimpressed. You couldn't help feeling a sad pang in your chest... you knew Lloyd wasn't big on romance, and that is why you never admitted his feelings for him.

"When two people are under a mistletoe, they absolutely HAVE to kiss," Jay explained, ecstasy in his voice.

"Why?" Zane questioned.
