Salina’s Pov
I stopped at the nearest superstore I found, there was a Wal-Mart and a beds, baths and beyond I decided to go to Wal-Mart last.
I went straight to the Bathroom isle to get clean towels for both bathrooms, I got marlie her own one I found a Butterfly purple towel for her, I picked up some red fluffy ones for myself and grey ones for the spare room.
I went to the kids section to find some things for Marlie I found a floral canopy sheet to hang above her bed a pink shell chandelier light shade I also by her two different sets of bedding one floral purple one and white one with flowers stitched on and some matching throw pillows, I also found storage baskets for under her bed to she can keep her toys somewhere.
Once we leave Bed’s, Bath’s and beyond I leave with a few toys with her own little table and chairs for Marlie, I decided to get myself I few things, since my room has lots of shelves full with vintage looking books I figured I’d get what I needed to match the theme so not to change to much since I’m guessing this is not a permanent home for us but I still wanted the Marlie to feel like her room was hers.
Wal-Mart was crazy busy I managed to fill a trolley with food and drink, since I like to bake I got some supplies so I can make pies and cupcakes, also found lunch box for Marlie since she will be starting a new school next week.
I am so glad Uncle Bobby let me borrow his truck with all the bags I have.
By the time I make it back home the sun is setting, I park out front so it will be easier to carry the bags inside, as I let myself into the house I hear a noise I was not expecting to hear I can hear Marlie laughing it’s the best noise in the world, I peek into the sitting room to see Marlie watching Finding Nemo With Uncle Bobby he has a gentle smile on his face sat in the recliner, Marlie is the first to spot me “LENA2 she squeals running over to me, I quickly kneel down to scoop her into my arms she wraps her arms around my neck “hey Mermaid you miss me?”
“Nope watching Nemo with Uncle Bobby and he made me PB&J sandwiches”
I laugh at her off handed comment “oh really did you save me any?”
“Nope I ate dem all up, but bobby had one too” Marlie accuses as she points at him, Bobby holds his hands up in surrender and I mock glare at him.
“You find the shops ok?” Bobby asks as he stands “yeah I have a few things for our rooms and some food too” Bobby gives me and Mar a warm smile as I tickle her saying that’s what she gets for eating my favourite sandwiches, I kiss her on the forehead then dump her on the couch to which she giggles.
Bobby helps me bring all the shopping into the house, “hey er bobby a got some things so I could bake, I was thinking I could make us some dinner in about an hour and a pie for after”
“Knock yourself out kid, sounds good to me well I’ll leave you to it I was getting into the film” I laugh at uncle Bobby he has not changed he’s still a little awkward but I know he’s a good man and it would be nice for Marlie to get to know him and be part of a family instead of just me.
I smile to myself as i put away the shopping when I'm putting the milk away i notice some pictures stuck to the fridge, there is one of uncle bobby with rufus and some other guy they look like they are in hunting gear, and another photo of the guys around my age one has brown hair and a baby face and the other has short spiky hair, piercing blue grey eyes he has a cheeky smirk on his face i have trouble tearing my eyes from his photos.
Later that night i have dreams about the his peircing eyes a cheeky smile.
