Kara
I open the door to see mom sitting on the couch sipping her coffee like she hasn't done anything. I clench my hands in fist ready to punch her in the face.
"Go fly around the city for a while. Let off steam I got her," Alex whispers into my ear.
I pat her on the shoulder and burst out into the sky. The wind whips in my face making all the madness go away. Up here I feel free. Like the air just blows all my problems away. I circle around the city stopping at catco checking in. Winn and James are talking about layouts. Cat is talking to her mother. I should schedule a appointment with her therapist after that phone call. I fly around the city a few more times before flying back to the apartment. As I get closer and closer to the window I can feel something going terribly wrong.

Alex
"WHY DO YOU STILL LET HER STAY HERE!" Mom yells at me.
"BECAUSE SHES MY FAMILY. BECAUSE I LOVE HER!" I yell back straining my voice.
"STOP IT!" Someone yells jumping in front of us.
I look up to see Kara. She gives me and disapproving face and looks at mom. Mom breaths in heavily holding her hands in fist. I take a deep breath relaxing my stiff body. I flex my hands letting them hang loose while my shoulders slouch.
"Both of you need to knock it off. Yelling is not going to get you anywhere. Now mom you have no reason to say those things. You have crossed the line and I want you out," Kara calmly say pointing toward the door.
She takes her bag and walks out of the door slamming the door behind her. Kara close her eyes taking a deep breath. She comes over to me and gives me a hug. Surprised I hug back.
"No one should have to answer that question," Kara smiles.

Maya
I crouch under the table shaking holding my hands over my ears. My whole body is shaking violently. I see a shadow cross over the table cloth. I hold my breath trying to be as quiet as possible. When I feel like it's safe again I slowly let my hands off my ears.
"Maya she's gone you can come out now," Alex says.
Still on edge I peek my head out from under the table cloth. Kara spots me and walks over to me. I crawl back a little so only my head is visible. She sits down next to me playing with my head.
"Take your time. Sorry about all that drama," Kara smiles at me.
I nod my head not moving. I glance up at Alex to see her facing the other way. No doubt she's crying. I slowly crawl out under the table and walk up behind Alex. I tug on her sleeve getting her attention.
"Pick me up please," I say in my sweeties voice possible.
She turns around with tears in her eyes but a smile on her face. I hold my arms up and she picks me up putting me on her hip. I take my small fingers and wipe the tears that are streaming down Alex's cheek and brush them away.
"Hey I have my family right here with me and I couldn't ask for better," I say.
Kara gets up from the floor and comes over to us. We all get in one big group hug laughing and crying.

Kara
"Hey Maya I was wondering if you wanted me to show you how to fly?" I ask Maya stepping out of the hug.
He face lights up like a girl at Christmas.
"Oh yes please. Alex can we go flying?" Maya asks Alex.
She looks at Maya than I. Pulling her fingers through her hair she takes a deep breath. I cross my fingers hopping she will say yes.
"Fine but please be careful," Alex gives in.
I smile at Alex and take Maya in my arms. We drive over to the DEO and go into the flying room. I put Maya down on the ground and float up in the air.
"Ok Maya so when flying you have to believe you can fly. That's what's going to separate you from the floor and sky," I explain to Maya.
She closes her eyes and whispers things to herself. After a while she opens her eyes and nods her head.
"Ok so you have the bases of flying. You just need to pick up enough speed to jump off and stay in the air. It's ok if you don't get it the first time," I say flying to the corner of the room.
Maya takes off running her feet coming off the ground a few inches.

Maya
I run faster and faster till I can't feel the hard ground under me. I look down to see I'm flying. Wait I'm flying!
"Good job Maya your doing it," Kara smiles at me.
I wobble over to her almost falling to the ground. Luckily she catches me right before I go down. I hold her tightly a little shaken up from it.
"Hey it's ok I got you. You did great today but I think that's enough flying for today," Kara kisses me.
I nod my head and we descend toward the ground. Kara and walk out of the flying room and look for Alex. Well Kara does. I'm being carried by Kara because I'm too tired to move.
"Go to bed Maya. Your safe with me," Kara whispers in my ear.
I don't need to be told twice about sleeping.

Alex
I go over some maps looking for some aliens. I turn around to see Kara and Maya coming toward me. Maya is sleeping on Kara's shoulder sucking her thumb. Aww how cute is that. Kara comes up to me and gives me a side hug.
"How was flying?" I ask Kara.
"It was good. Maya did a really good job. She's all done for today tho," Kara chuckles.
"10-46 armed robbery," I hear.
I turn toward Kara buts she's already up and away.
"Be careful and I love you," I whisper to the sky.
I look back down to she Maya waking up. I position her so she's more comfortable in my arms. Her blue eyes flutter open and a smile spreads on her face.
"Hello cupcake how did you sleep?" I ask tickling under her chin.
She squirms in my grip laughing holding her side. A smile finds its way to my face. She means everything to me.
"Where's Kara?" Maya asks.
"She had to go save people. She'll be back soon," I explain to her.
She nods her head and slips down until she's on the floor.

Kara
I flying to a shop to see two man with guns pointing them at the owners demanding for the money.
"Hey I wouldn't do that if I were you," I say startling them.
The guy with the gun points it right at my heart.
"I know you don't want to do that. There are probably a thousand things I can do to you. But I don't think I half to. I get it your scared you need the money. This isn't the way to go. Deep down I know you know this is wrong. Give me the gun and we can help you ok," I calmly explain.
The gunner slowly lowers his gun until I can take it from him. I put my hand out and he drops it in my hand. I quickly take out the bullets till it's just the weapon.
"The city smiles down on you," I say flying away.
I make my way back into my apartment landing on the couch. The soft material makes me sleepy and before you can say superwoman I'm out.
