"I wonder what that is," Aida said.
"I don't know," I responded. "Perhaps they're from a place called Whovia."
Aida shrugged. "Whatever. It doesn't matter now. What matters is us getting out of here."
"Maybe we could look around for some clues to why all these people are here-"
"I was quickly cut off by Aida, whispering, "Shush! Get down!" pulling me behind my empty sleeping tube.
"What?" I said, irritated.
"Look." she said, pointing out into the hallway.
Hundreds of short, metal creatures were parading through the halls. The evident leader said in a tinny, monotone voice, "Traces of the Doctor have been detected in this facility! Locate the Doctor and EX-TERM-INATE!"
"What in the name of-" I said.
Aida clapped her hand over my mouth.
"Follow me!" the lead creature called. "To victory!"
Only when all the creatures were gone did Aida move. In fact, it seemed as if she hadn't dared to breath for fright of the creatures finding and, presumably, exterminating her.
"What do you think it means to exterminate someone? And who's The Doctor?"
"That would be me."
