As Conor rushed into the kitchen, I put my hand over my stomach and leaned against the door. This doesn't seem right, it might be but I don't know. When I'm alone I'll text Louise. Then I breathe through the pain and walk through to the kitchen, "Ow!" Conor squeals, as he tries to get the tray out of the oven. I take an oven glove and take the tray out and lay it on a heatproof mat on the counter.
Then I turn around (floating so high above the ground), and hear Conor saying ow again. He was attempting to bite into the cookie, i just sigh and rest my hands onto the counter. "Your just like a child, impatient." I tell him, he looks at me funnily. "Well, why'd you want a baby?" He asked me, I didn't really know. "Well, ever since I was little I wanted to have a baby." I tell him, a stupid answer I know. He nodded and blew on the cookie. I just laughed at him, "My thoughts are, try to keep Avery away from drama obviously and unhealthy things for a while until she learns properly. As I've read about that and it can make them think that it's alright to eat that a lot." I say, "Yeah, I'll teach her musical instruments like guitar and piano." He said, "I'll teach her violin, and some drawings." I tell him.
He then bites onto the now semi-cool cookie, "Wait, you can draw?" He said, I nodded and went through to our shared office. Then Conor followed and I again got one of those funny pains, "Are you alright?" Conor asks coming to me. "Yep." I lie, she notices. "Do you not think the baby might be coming?" He asks, "No, I don't think so." I say, then get a bit of paper and a pencil and draw a face, well the outline of a head. I look up at Conor and study his eyes then draw his eyes carefully catching the detail and adding his 'Coco Pop' under his eyes and I drew his eyebrows. It took a while then Conor said, "Wow." I chuckled then erased the small mistake, that looked inappropriate.
"What's so funny?" He asks, wrapping his arm around me. "Nothing..." I say, holding in the laughter.
By the way, thanks to my friend Claire who has starting making the house that is described in this story and I hope she is reading this now. The images will be in the next chapter.
