I slowly scrolled through my contacts until his name popped up.
I pressed dial, a bad idea but there is no going back from this.
He answered on the third ring.
"Hello?" I speak into the phone, sounding slightly confused.
"Hi, Sarah where are you?" He asked, I looked over at Joe and he just shrugged his shoulders pushing his ray ban glasses up.
"I'm going somewhere, but I'll be okay." I say, not lying as I am not telling him exactly.
Joe stops outside his apartment block, "Wait.. Are you in a car?" He asked.
"No." I lie.
"Are you sure?" He said, "Yes I'm sure, I'm not outside I am indoors." I say, trying not to let the emotions get the better of me.
I nibble on my nails and Joe swats my hand as he doesn't like it when people bite their nails, although he himself bites his own nails.
"Sarah! Are you still there? Did somebody hit you?" He asked, sounded slightly more angry and concerned.
"Yes, I'm here and no because I'm alone." I say, then picking the nail polish off my nails.
"Please come back soon." He said, worried. He then hung up instantly.
Then Joe gave me a hug, obviously being sympathetic.
We both went out of the car and we went into his apartment, of course Joe locking the car first and unlocking his apartment door.
Then I walked over to the couch and flopped down onto the couch.
On the wrong part because it hurt "Ow..." I say, staying in the position.
"See! I did tell you that it isn't that comfy." He said, in his 'I'm trying to make a point' voice.
"I don't care, I'm hungry." I said, still on the hard bit of the couch.
"Well it's about 12... So... I'll make us a panini each. Chicken and cheese?" He asked, "Sure. Whatever will do." I said.
Then I slip my phone out of my pocket and I just scroll through Twitter until one of Zoe's tweets.
