I was sitting on my bed reading, waiting for my best friend, Maya, to crawl through my sister's bay window.

"Sup losers" said Maya as she emerged through the opening. Riley was sat, like me, waiting on the seat at the window. Maya shot me a sympathetic glance, noticing Riley ignore me, like always.

"Why do we have to sneak out of the house if we're not doing anything wrong until we sneak onto the subway?" my innocent 12 year old sister questioned.

"You think you're ready to just walk by yo-OUR parents?" I stumbled, sarcastically asking her.

"Yeah, what Mari-boo said" Smirked Maya.

"Don't call me that" I grumbled

"I think I'm ready." said Riley, ignoring me. Again.

oh yeah, sure i thought. And sure enough she makes a face between scared and... well whatever that was.

" 'Why are you making that face at us, Riley?' " innocently questioned Maya, being, scarily good, my Dad, Cory.

"Because me and Tamsyn are sneaking out to the subway. Out the window." Sighed Riley.

Why am I being dragged into this mess, they don't know I go anyway...

After glancing at me again, Maya says "Let's go"

"Wait for it" I whispered sadly.

"Daddy! What are you doing out here?" asked Riles

There it is.

Ignoring the pain in my heart, i walked out the room, not bothering to hear what dad is saying.

"Hey Little Augster!" I said, fake smiling as I skipped into my little brother, Auggies, room.

After my talk with my baby bro, I walked straight past my parents and into the subway. Yeah.

"Dweezil! And Tamsyn! Whole Crew!" chirped Maya, when she sees me standing next to him.

"Maya! Tammy! Who's the new chick?" Replied Dweezil.

"Chick! Down here I'm a chick! No wonder my parents don't want me or Tamsyn on the Subway." Whispered to Maya excitedly as I stood there like a lemon.

Not bothering to notice the conversation between Maya and Riley, I continue to stand and read, yeah it's a talent!

When I see Riley fall into a boys lap, Maya asks " So, Ty-Ty, how's, you know?" yeah, she knows that my parents ignore me and give Riley all their attention. I miss that, having them sing and tuck me in at night.

"The same, you?" I sigh

she nods.

"That was great!" says Riley, as she comes back, " Oh, hey Tamsyn."

I roll my, slightly tear-filled eyes, and look away, trying not to cry.

I walk off the Subway back home and run into my room, slam the door and cry myself to sleep that night.
