----Nayeon's POV-----
Ring! Ring! I hear from my phone. Ring! Ring! Who the hell calls someone at 7 in the morning? Wait nevermind, I'm an idol. I pick up the phone to see that the Mangement Head Director, Son Chaeyoung was calling me.
"Hello?" I said answering her.
"Nayeon-ssi, have you not looked at the tv yet? Or at least the internet??" She shouted from the phone,
"What do you mean?" I ask,
She then took a deep sigh, "You're on the news, and you're no.1 on the search engine,"
"Wait why?" I questioned, as I grabbed the remote and turned on the tv.
"Hallyu star idol, Im Nayeon, has been found to have violently pushed her fans who were waiting for her, as she made her way to her van." The newscaster speaks,
"What?!" I said as I jumped out of my bed,
"It's pretty serious, a lot of your fans are turning their backs against you!" Chaeyoung added,
I sat myself down, and began to rub my aching head. I took a deep breath and asked Chaeyoung, "So you're saying that my popularity is declining even more than it has?"
"Unfortunately, you are correct." She responded
"Is there anything you can do about it??"
"As of the moment right now, we are trying to think of a solution. For the time being, we want you to lay low, and avoid any social media." She affirmed,
"Alright," I sighed, as I hung up.
Most people would be depressed at the thought of their career diminishing. But to me hearing this news, in some way, I feel relieved yet, scared. Mixed emotions flowed through my body, as well as different thoughts entered my head. Especially thoughts about my future and it's uncertainty. What would I do if I wasn't an idol? And other thoughts like, What would I do if I continue on being an idol?? And even other thoughts like, I'm hungry, what should I eat? And with that, I was determined to not let this news bother me, change me and pretend like it was like any other day. So I went to the kitchen and continued my routine like I always did.
Ok, first a cup of coffee. I walk to the kitchen counter, where I expected there to be a cup of coffee --usually made by Jihyo before I woke up-- only to see nothing but a clean counter table. "Jihyo!!" I called out, the words echoing throughout the apartment, waiting for a reply. Out of curiosity of the person's presence nowhere to be seen near me --since she is my manager, who's supposed to stay by me-- I decided to call her,
"Jihyo, it's Nayeon, where are you??" I ask,
"I'm at the company building," She responds,
"Why?"
"The company told me to stay with the new artist that recently signed with them," She retaliated,
"What about me?" I asked,
"They told me that I will temporarily not be managing you," She answered,
"Well, then who will manage me??" I worriedly said. Jihyo was always with me during the beginning of my career, having her not beside me made me feel empty.
"The company said that you can take a few days off, so you have no schedule, everything is on a halt."
"Oh..." I began,
"Look, I have to go, okay? I heard about the news, stay safe!" She said before hanging up.
A few days off...What do I do?? This "Pretend like nothing happened" idea, seemed to not be working efficiently. I guess I could practice my singing by myself, but there was really no reason to. I had no friends to hang out with either. Since I always had full packed schedules, I never had any time to get to know anyone. I guess you could say that I was an introvert since I never really tried to approach anyone, and anyone who approached me, ended up getting awkward with my somewhat-cold aura and image. I unlocked my phone and went through my contacts, to see which people, I could at least tolerate. Sana? The musician I co-wrote with for Ooh Ahh? I never even talked to her after that song came out. Lets see.... I began to scroll down the long list of numerous celebrities, musicians, and other people that I came across, or worked with. But I realized that I never really maintained any type of friendship with any of them. After a long session of scrolling up and down and staring at the phone screen, I finally found at least one person that I had some type of deep connection with, Mina! How did I forget about Mina?? With that, I called the probably-sleeping penguin,
