I'd somehow managed to be alone in my new home; Daniel had to attend some sort of meeting. The house seemed eerily quiet grandfather had told me I'd have some company. Of course he'd been opposing my decision to stay in lancer town. But he eventually gave in my mother would stay home something to do with family coming over for a reunion and her having to arrange everything.
The house had everything any normal house hold would, only thing missing was the homey feeling, the warmth a loving home would have. It was clear the house was in use just rarely, I looked around the first floor wondering who would be living with me.
I went upstairs finding a door locked most likely owned by whoever would be my roommate. My room looked just like my old one at home, clearly grandfather had gone overboard to make me feel comfortable.
My wolf whined so suddenly I jumped up, looking around and saw nothing I sighed in relief. I went over to the window few feet from the yard woods surrounded the rest of it. The house was probably five miles from any other house. But that wasn't the reason I'd been drawn well part of the reason, I watched as hazel eyes came forth from the woods. How strange I thought, walking away and started putting my clothes in their compartments.
I heard the door knob turn before his scent hit me, it wasn't a bad smell but it also wasn't alluring or tempting like Daniels, sigh Daniel... I smiled sheepishly at myself.
I walked out to meet my roommate, I stopped midway seeing hazel eyes looking as shocked as I was.
"You?" We said, he was holding what looked like a dagger in hand.
"Woah, easy there" I said he looked down at his hand and put it away quickly.
"Sorry, I didn't know it was you, didn't even know you'd be living here" He said looking away.
"Its fine, well this is unexpected...um..."
"It is...names Sean by the way" He said smiling at my poor effort in trying to figure out what his name had been.
I was surprisingly feeling comfortable with Sean, he didn't seem all that bad though him coming out from the woods was still puzzling. But I wasn't about to ask him about that not when he seemed really down although he tried to look cool and composed his eyes were the key to his true feelings.
"Sooo, you've been living here all alone?" I asked having nothing else to say he nodded going to the refrigerator and grabbed a bottle of orange juice.
"Orange juice?" He asked he seemed not to want to talk about his living away from home which I wasn't going to push.
"Yea sure"
"So what exactly happened before at school?" He asked setting the glass of juice on the counter top in front of me. I thought of what to tell him as I drank some of the juice.
"I don't know I just felt sick all of sudden, and so I left early probably should have left a note or something at the office" It wasn't a complete lie I just wasn't telling him everything.
"Because of your condition," He said taking a sip of his juice eying me almost trying to check if I were telling the truth or not, "and don't worry about the school grandfather gave you liberty after all I'm sure if you call they'll excuse you"
"I'll call later, I guess" I didn't like the way his voice changed, like he were angry maybe jealous? He really did look like grandfather though, the hazel eyes and light brown hair his lightly tanned skin.
Sean showed me around the house everything was up to date well the electronics which didn't seem to mean much to him not that I was that into them either just you'd think guy his age would still be playing video games or watching movies with friends but they seemed rarely used. He also didn't seem to get any text messages or calls unlike me who kept receiving them which I'd ignore I didn't want to miss home even more.
