I sat at the table in the restaurant with my cup of coffee. I had just finished with a meeting and now was currently ten thousand dollars richer. How did I get this rich over a cup of coffee you ask? Well I own the third section of the black market selling magical items that people want but can't get without a little dirty work being involved. Even the Empire uses my services when they need some stuff under the table. The waitress came over and refilled my cup and seeing how my next meeting was going to be in an hour and a half, I didn't see the harm in sitting and enjoying another cup of coffee. I was sixteen but I had been told that I looked both younger and older then my age, something that in my line of work always worked to my advantage.

A man in a brown leather trench coat came and sat down without out a sound and without warning, immediately alarming me. After some unwanted and unscheduled meetings with people who didn't exactly like me, I had decided that I needed to know who and when I was meeting with people. This guy wasn't on my schedule but the way he looked at me made me think that maybe I should know him because he seemed to know me. I returned his stare only ten times colder, which wasn't hard with my frost blue eyes.

"Do I know you." I asked keeping my thoughts out of my voice. "No, I wouldn't expect you to know me, after all its been eleven years since I last saw you." His green eyes became sharper as if looking for any sign of emotion but I wasn't going to give any to him. In truth many things where going through my mind, I didn't remember much of my childhood before the previous head of what was now my section took me in. I didn't remember and I never tried to, I never had a reason since my parents had either died or abandoned me. Now this man was I front of me saying that he had met me eleven years ago, I was finding that hard to believe. What wasn't hard to believe was the time in the clock telling me I had an hour left before my next meeting that was across town.

"It was nice meeting you but I have things to attend to and very little time to attend to them." I stood turning away from the man and waved down the waitress to pay for the coffee. A hand fell on my raised hand and slammed it back to the table.

"Don't waste your money, you won't have much of it left after that cup of coffee, do you know how much it is? A young lad like yourself shouldn't be having to pay for things like that on his own." I did know the coffee was expensive but it was also worth it. The man reached into his pocket and put a large sum of money on the table and then got up to leave, what I didn't expect was him grabbing both shoulders and dragging me with him.
"Unhand me, let go! I don't have time for your nonsense!" This time my voice was louder and more shocked then before but the man didn't let go, instead he dug his figures into my shoulder and steered me to and out the door. Outside the street was more or less empty with the occasional cab and fog. It was still early morning so the sun hadn't come out yet and neither had any people.

I wasn't as worried about protecting myself or escaping my capture as I was about missing that meeting. It was one of my most important ones because at meeting the three heads of the black market would basically meet and brag about their section. Mine was always the best and could trump all of theirs but we remained civil in our meetings until it came time for us to go back to our own sections. It was a simple, short meeting but one that showed power and if I missed it, that would make them doubt me as the head of my section. I tugged harder against the man and then brought my elbow up to then jab it into him. The man chose that moment to let go of me by sheer luck to open the door to the cab that was waiting. He raised an eye brow noticing the movement but didn't say anything.

"You don't need to worry about any harm coming to you. If it helps any, you should know I'm your uncle. So show courtesy please."
